The math was ok but the physics was awful. I realized later that I had factored in gravitational acceleration but I forgot about terminal velocity. Plus my time measurement was too generous. Stupid stupid me! Oh well I read elsewhere that its supposed to be as tall as the Empire State Building, which is 1472 feet. Still pretty damn high.
