I really appreciate the beauty in aircraft like these. But the sad truth is, the technology behind these new Russian and Chinese super planes is far inferior to the west.. I know, it's a biased opinion, but I've done a fair amount of research, and full military simulations using the known technologies of say a PAK FA t-50 vs an F-22 Raptor, the raptor can clean up an entire flight group of these planes, by itself, before even having a visual.

America is #1 today but tomorrow may be different. This plane is not in service and is only a design for show and tell. By the time Russia or China have 5th generation aircraft, U.S. will already have 6th generation. That is how tech races work, eventually the competition will advance but you always have to stay 1 step ahead. Good thing is that since we had it first, we already know its weaknesses but being 1 step ahead the competition has no idea about anything.
Is this a real plane? They actually made this and it's flying right now or is this just some computer generated images for show and tell and awsomeness only?
The problem I have with this design are the almost flat air inlets on the upper body. During a high pitch-up, airflow into the engines would be sharply reduced by the drop in pressure. Unless there is a corresponding inlet system on the underside of the wing, this is not a highly maneuverable design.

I really appreciate the beauty in aircraft like these. But the sad truth is, the technology behind these new Russian and Chinese super planes is far inferior to the west.. I know, it's a biased opinion, but I've done a fair amount of research, and full military simulations using the known technologies of say a PAK FA t-50 vs an F-22 Raptor, the raptor can clean up an entire flight group of these planes, by itself, before even having a visual.

By the time Russia or China have 5th generation aircraft, U.S. will already have 6th generation. That is how tech races work, eventually the competition will advance but you always have to stay 1 step ahead. The problem I have with this design are the almost flat air inlets on the upper body. During a high pitch-up, airflow into the engines would be sharply reduced by the drop in pressure. Unless there is a corresponding inlet system on the underside of the wing, this is not a highly maneuverable design.
