okay, I know this is an old video, but I just found this channel. I've started gettign into buildiing model houses for fun and was wondering what material you use for the walls and what tools your use. I can't use wood because I livein a small studio apartment so I have no room for woodworking tools. At the moment I'm working with just cardboard and an exacto knife but was wondering if there is something stronger out there
hey. I used cardboard & balsa wood for this work. Balsa wood doesnt take that much space. If your room accommodates A2 size cardboard, it can def do balsa wood sticks. Balsa wood works better with super glue (also easy to be cut by knife), while cardboard is good with PVA glue. You might also need a cutting matt to put underneath if you prefer straight and smooth edges. alternatively you can try foam core board which is easy to cut & good for massing model. Hope it helps?
