I kinda dig the whole "Americana" theme of the album and Brandon's look - very Uncle Sam! This album totally cancelled off their label as a "British" American band.

Also - you can tell this song was heavily influenced by The Cure!

Tabloids and critics like to get dirt to make people read. They'll do anything for a read. And no what you said isn't completely untrue. Just most of it. I'm going off what the artists say in interviews pertaining to the subject matter, and not what rolling stone, spin or some two bit journalist had to say.

Firstly, the point of me bringing up the Killers' music videos during Sam's Town is that their imagery looks very "Americana" to me. Which is what we are discussing. Not the music, in this instance, nor who cares about them.

Secondly, its very unfair to bring up Britney Spears with music videos. Don't Radiohead have amazing videos? Or Muse? Or the Red Hot Chili Peppers? I happen to admire the artistic value of the music video. Check out Michel Gondry's DVD collection of his work. TC mate

I love this song, I love any song, book, film with the theme of leaving a small town to experience the rest of the world. I left my small New England hometown 11 years ago and never regret it. Trust me kids, if you're not happy in your small town, get out and see the world. You won't regret it. Don't listen to anybody trying to bring you down.

No, Brandon screwed up. Their tech played the intro and Brandon chimed in for the the rest of it. He even said in an interview that he often messes up on the keyboard during live shows, I guess this time was much more obvious.
