  • can you upload this version with the piano remix, please?

  • @Emisa000

Since you asked, I will upload a show featuring the theme's remix, although I am not sure if it is the remix you specify. I also plan for a video on the theme to "Rififi." They will be up soon.

  • @mistacramer i meant the song but with this piano version (and if it's longer than 1min 20sec, better)

  • @mistacramer and thanks if you upload even the show

  • Thanks. It is a great thing to see others who want to keep the memory of Mr.Mencken alive.

  • Enjoy the sunshine while it lasts.

  • Nothing like a bit of pessimism to start off my day, this certainly delivered! ; )

Interesting choice of music you chose to depict the struggle of life. And it CAN be a struggle...

"Life is a race for the topmost round

And a fight in the dark alone"

If we look for truth we can fight in the light and it is our choice as to whether we fight alone. Very interesting poem, one which opens the gateways of thought and a poet I haven't come across before. Thank you :D

Also, I should say, the music is a remix of a piano rendition of Francois Roubaix's title theme of the film "Le Samouraï ."

While I would personally agree with your sentiments here, Mencken surely would not have. I mention Mencken's German heritage as much of the traditional virtues, strong but silent tropes and famed intellectuals (like Nietzsche) were a part of Mencken and his imago from childhood to death. Farrell recounted how Mencken constantly said, "Carlyle was right; no man truly believes in another." Somewhat ironic considering his well-connectedness in America.

  • That was fucking sweet

  • The end pic seemed to be a tad of a jab. Except from the desc I guess it was just a pic. That poem was so accurate. Life is hard and we all scratch and claw to get something from it as we're slowly sliding down the side of a pit into darkness. The sun fades and we are only here for a VERY short time. Sad but true.

  • excellent poem, excellent presentation.

a poet after my own heart.

i've got to read this guy.
