Hey man I flew with you the other day Steve. I asked you about the winds, after landing in palm beach onboard IBC, N367PX, enjoyed the flight man!!!! Do you like it at IBC?
@brighdt01 Just like in any other plane, taxiing procedures do not insure that you shut-down any of the engines. If you mean to ask if they apply engine thrust separately of each other, then yes. If the plane has 2 or more engines, on both sides of the fuselage, then pilots can apply more thrust to one side of the plane then the other, to compensate the cross wind, or to minimise turn radius while taxiing.
@scotplane Im not sure about the nav, but i definetly know that no turbo-prop has a auto-throttle. I think it could be becouse of the fact that the engine blades can be feathered, wich is something that no auto-pilot can do that i know of.
is this an ATR 72 ?? hey how does the tower treat you guys from the US?im cuban thats why im asking i wnat to be an atc in the marine core so i love this kind of videos great one by the way congrat guys
how come the guy on the left never helps the guy on the right land.... is the guy on the left a co pilot or something? and how does the plane taxi without and steering going on? how does it know when to turn?????!!?!?!?!?
@verableu2 Only one person can fly at a time! They take turns on different trips or different phases of flight. The pilot not flying looks after other tasks.
On the ground the aeroplane is steered with the feet or with a nosewheel tiller (hand operated but off to the side), not with the control yoke.
Amazing video! Could you tell us more about yourself? Why did you became a pilot, how do you become a pilot, is it difficult? etc. I am really interested in all the information regarding pilots. Specially you :)
Did you shoot this on the GoPro HD Hero? If so, did you use the 720 60 FPS mode, I noticed your Flight displays are visible this time. Also, what mount do you use?
@MarkoPilot Yes, this video was shot with the GoPro HD Hero using the suction cup mount. I did use the 720/60 FPS setting. I think the lighting was different this day or something because the look of the footage is much different than my other video.
Fantastic video mate and most excellent approach and landing. You pros make this look easy! Really enjoyed this. Ok back to FSX and time to play wannabe pilot for me lol.
awesome! one of the best aviation videos I've seenb on youtube. i can't wait to be in that right seat!

Is it difficult manipulating the aircraft's propulsion on turboprops, since there are two sets of levers to deal with?

This was a great video. Seems like many who post videos seem to think that music needs to be added to make it complete. I'd much rather hear the raw
audio, especially when turbines are involved :)

Hey man, quick question: while taxiing in the Saab, do pilots shut down the left enngine?

Could I ask a question, is the Saab 340 equipped with the equivalent of VNAV, LNAV etc? Also, is it equipped with Auto-throttle?

when you put the saab in reverse do you have to lift it out of idle into reverse like a king air or is it just continuous

I live just outside where they build these airplanes in Linköping, Sweden. They never disturb, very quiet, despite flying over me very close.
But they also build the JAS-39 Gripen at the same place, and those are not as quiet of course...
