It's not exactly unusual for skinheads to stomp and kick at their victims' heads, but if thugs have a technique as specific as this, I think there would be some record of it. I've also recently read one guy claim that blacks in Harlem practiced it back in the 70's & 80's, and I've been living in the area for 38 years and never heard of it being done here. Until there's some evidence of this so-called "curb stomp" (aka "curbing"), I'd have to chalk it up to urban legend.

In those days Harlem was a ghetto. But such a tactic just isn't too plausible anywhere. You'd either have to make your victim assume the position at gunpoint (and I doubt most people would prefer curbing to getting shot), or you would have to first subject him to a serious group beatdown where he's totally unconscious and then have everybody drag him over to position his head and mouth properly. Seems a bit too calculated, as far as typical street violence goes.
