hey ali im 12 13 in 2 weeks what plane do you think would be right for me for under about £60 got a little shitty glider but cant find any uk sites selling decent planes help!

He Ali, cool new plane. Why not use a big flying wing for FPV only?? With a pusher motor like these ones, camera completely on front of the nose, no vertical stabilizers, and then fly through the city. Low passes, close to buildings, through tunnels, et cetera. Look up "Nastycop420" on youtube. Couldn't you do such things?

French laws for the use of FPV flight on its territory:

No flight to over 150 meters and always two pilots

Frequency 1.2 GHz and 1.3 GHz are prohibited because they are reserved to the GSM network

The frequency of 2.4 GHz, of course is allowed but with a limit of 10mW

The frequency of 5.8 GHz, is also allowed but with a limit of 25mW

I will have to focus myself on short range flights but it's better than nothing! ;)

Je voulais me lancer un peu dans les vols d'avion en FPV mais ces règles m'ont quelque peu refroidi mais comme tu dis après rien en m'empêche de m'isoler et de me faire plaisir dans mon coin ! ;)

LOL On a side note, I'm researching stabilized gimbal mounts for the GoPro. Could you possibly do a video on the best solution for stabilized video? @hot4plasma I have one on Zero UAV System that i am going to put on new Skywalker and configure my Pan Tilt Gimbal for target lock testing during flight. :) you can get that system but that is like 5000 USD :D

Man, all of these foam, ARF, planes I'm seeing everywhere these days. Do people actually build planes anymore, from scratch? When I started R/C 17 years ago, we bought the kits, and put them together from scratch, OR we cut our own ribs, spars, build everything from sheets of balsa or plywood. Have you scratch built any of your planes Ali? Don't get me wrong, keep the videos coming, I love them. I flew R/C planes for 10 years, and I've been out of the hobby for almost 7 now.

got this plane for monthes, it's also called skywalker epp FPV by hobbyking.put a 2000kv 3s 2200mah , a 7*5 apc prop and it's marvellous! just put 400grs at the front of the canopy( just add a camcorder with the setup below and you'll love it more and more!!!!

@jacknjck671 hmm but then we won't have enough flight time i know. I can put a 3500kv motor with a 9x6 prop and fly it with 6S but then again my setup 980kv motor 9x6 prop and 14.8v 5000mAh 35C battery is for long flight times.

Can't wait to see how the new Skywalker flies. I'm a bit disappointed that the wings are weaker in the new one. Hopefully they will make new version that finally resolves the wing problem completely. I'll probly buy the X8 wing if the Skywalker V5 is poor.

Do you have any ETA when you will get the X8? :) You must make a good and honest review of it!

@icewolfy1 well January 2nd week probably i can get one. I heard that skywalker V5 had issues with wings but with the new plane this new long CF rod should hold them tight. well I will put this to an honest test with some heavy equipment on it :D

I added extensions to the carbon spars by gluing carbon strips inside the tubes a couple of inches and letting them stick out almost to the wingtip. I haven't done any SUPER heavy lifting, but flown my Skywalker up to about 5kg AUW.

@alishanmao Except here in Texas we were the first state to get the elusive FAA waiver to let our law enforcement operate UAV's! They are mostly at the Mexico border looking for border jumpers but recently Montgomery County, just north of Houston, Spent $500,000 on two weaponized UAV's for their Sheriff's department.....now they can shoot down my Skywalker!
