You can't very well uphold Matthew 7:6 by not judging they are swine. And Jesus judged. Judged the pharisees to be false christians. Judged those in the temple selling goods as sinners and even overturning tables. You have to judge or you will never "keep yourself protected from sinners."

What Matthew 7:6 is saying is, Jesus does condemn a critical and judgmental spirit, one with a sense of moral superiority. He commanded us to examine ourselves first for the problems that we so easily see in others. It is when we examine ourselves that we can better see the problem and get help for our own problem first. But you have to discern (judge) good and evil.

This shows those in the past knew God loves us and had a plan for our life. So they worshiped. His mercy was so great that when we had sinned, HE did not leave us. Our sin earned us eternal death in the lake of fire. Father God allowed Jesus to come and plead guilty to our sin crimes. then when our death penalty was announced, HE died in our place. Then on the Third Day God the Holy Spirit raised Him from the dead. Because of the blessed Trinity we can go to heaven. THANK YOU, Blessed Trinity.

You can't very well uphold Matthew 7:6 by not judging they are swine. And Jesus judged. Judged the pharisees to be false christians. God will know if one responds to His call because His Commandments and teachings will reflect in one's life...God's will done for IT'S OWN sake vs. for an ulterior motive or under the delusion one can merit one's way into Heaven...and be seen as a new creation and thus, "born again". It is a beautiful song, but to me imparts only the wisdom of man. Whether it comes from within us of from on high makes no difference, for it is all metaphor, and appeals only to a spiritual truth that it somehow encoded in our being.

1) morality existed long before your bible. It did not come from God, it came from common sense... survival of the species. If early hunter gatherers had not cooperated & helped each other, not only would society not have evolved, but humans would most likely have perished. From your comment about the actions youre capable of, it doesnt say much good about your character if Christianity is all that is holding you back from hurting other people. You sound sick inside.

2) Christians haven't exactly been role models of morality... In the Old Testament your God condones rape & pillage as the spoils of war. Then there was the Crusades; witch trials; Inquisitions; persecution of blacks, women, homosexuals; sexual abuse of children by priests; Church inspired Rwandan genocide; Bosnian genocide; greedy & scandal-ridden Televangelists& lots more. Secular humanity has a moral code, not because of Christianity, but in spite of it!

U must have trouble reading. I just explained in my comment below that morality doesnt come from Xtianity. It was already in place. & why would we not be responsible for our actions without God? We're still responsible to our own sense of self-pride, altruism, fairness & sense of community; & to our family, friends, workplace, neighbors, the law, etc. If no one took responsibility for their actions, we wouldnt be here. Predominantly Atheist countries like England & Sweden manage fine without God

TED BUNDY, serial killer of approx 35 females, was a Christian. He had a Methodist upbringing, & served as vice-president of the Methodist Youth Fellowship. As a boy he was also a member of the Boy Scouts, who to this day, don't allow atheists to join. He would typically rape & strangle his victims, one as young as 12. Bundy confessed he repeatedly returned to the hidden bodies, applied makeup to their corpses and had sex with their decomposing bodies.

MARK DAVID CHAPMAN shot John Lennon. Chapman was an active Born Again Christian from age 16 onwards. He had a Christian girlfriend, played guitar in Christian venues, attended Presbyterian College, & lived with a Minister before shooting Lennon. Chapman was angered by Lennon saying the Beatles were "bigger than Jesus." Chapman said it was blasphemy & nobody should be more popular than Jesus. He states he wants to set up a church if he's ever released from prison.

Just because you are gay does not mean you cannot change. Open your heart to know the Lord and he will make you white as snow. The only proof you will find is in God's wonderful word. Jesus, I want to know you. Come into my life and help me. I am lost and I need you. Forgive me for I am a sinner and I need you. Then get into God's Word and ask him to show you the truth about him.

The wisdom of God is greater than man's. It's like when a parent tells a child what they should do and not do....the child doesn't understand and whines and throws a fit when they don't get what they want. Let's see... the 1st Law of Thermodynamics (aka, the Law of Conservation) tells us neither matter nor energy can be created or destroyed, thus ruling out any natural explanation for anything coming into being.
But you don't want to hear it; it all "just happened". I understand.

What's that? It "didn't have to come into being, it all just ALWAYS existed"? Man, I thought you athiests at least paid lip service to science! The 2nd Law of Thermodynamics (aka the Law of Entropy) tells us that everything, matter and energy, is in a constant state of decay, winding down, and dispersion of energy. Thus the universe cannot be infinitely OLD, as it would have wound down, burned out, and dispersed an infinity AGO.

Existence cannot be accounted for by natural means, nor can it have always simply "been". These are scientific LAWS, i.e., observable, measurable, and constant, as opposed to speculation, tenuous hypotheses, or tentative postulations ("m-theory", "virtual particles", or such histrionics).
But God, in your view, is still "imaginary" darn it! Very logical. Eminently scientific.
