This is the 3rd "tutorial" I looked at that is essentially showcasing the sounds of Kore - not how it's being programmed. How do you map a parameter in say Kontakt to a knob in Kore? What are the "pages" in the interface? Why can't I rename these? How do I define what page is loaded on start-up? Etc etc. I'm a progarmmer by trade, but I have never come a more convoluted and cumbersome interface than this. No wonder it failed and it now discontinued.
I'm brand new to music and Kore. I installed it ok, but the manual has me totally confused. It assumes a basic knowledge I don't have. I feel like a computer user who has never learned to use a mouse. I must be doing something wrong. I get no sound. I'm using an Audigy 2zs Planinum notebook PMCIA card. I pick a sound and click play but hear nothing. I think because I don't have a midi controller to modulate the sound, is this right? So I need Kore AND a midi controller plugged in too? Help.
Anyone thinking of getting this, get yourself a second hand kore 1 controller then just get the kore 2 software to go with it, i saved myself a packet..
I was thinking about getting the kore 1 controller but the cost and the updated software would be a few dollars short of getting the later version. It should be here on monday, cant wait. I also got my Akai mpk88 arriving shortly. I love the product these guys are making. My next aquisition would be KOMPLETE 6 but for right now I need some good quality monitors and microphones to complete my studio. Any suggestions for good tube condenser mics without auctioning body parts?
@Neilcodemonkeyboy I know this reply is a year late but you are right, kore 1 controller is an audio device as well, kore 2 hardware lacks that option.
@Neilcodemonkeyboy But the KORE 2 Controller ist much better build quality than KORE 1. Should be considered before buying, as most guys already have a soundcard and don't need an additional one.
hi guys.. quality piece of kit. oredering one this week but thinking about just getting the software edition withut the controller.. am i making a mistake
bought the hardware edition.. great piece of kit.. Just downloaded the update so should be able to also control my plugins.. I just need time to learn everything.. Would deffo recommend ..
the great thing about this is that the sample library is expandable via the soundpacks, and the other great thing is that its got a hardware interface, like alot of great audio software. I might get this.
Essentially any synth can make "lil john" sounds. (Though I don't know why anyone would want to) You need to know how to operate your synth and you can get quality sounds out of any vst.
