clean your mouth with warm water and rinse, dont brush your teeth anymore, its receeding my gums at a fast rate, because of my bad diet and sleeping patterns, now i have to moist th einside of the gums to make them grow back, so massage your gums gently onthe inside and let the blood do its work, dont stress and believe that it will recover and they will, ive had my gums grow back and receed before so im used to it, the most important thing it to sleep more and use a more gentle toothpaste
How long does tooth soap last? 24.95 per tube is better than grafting but...just curious about how long it lasts. thanks I am very grateful to have found this.
My 2 front low teeth are receding on the inside. I don't eat ANY refined sugar, or high sugar food except fruit. In fact I used to not brush my teeth, and ate a lot of sugary cereal and cookies and never had problems, then I stopped and started brushing, switched to fruit, that's when gums started. I've been eating fruit smoothies every morning for a few months and it seems like they started a month or so after that. I guess I'll stop drinking them for a week and see what happens.
do you know if using a sonic are vibrating toothbrush is okay for people with receded gums(or of they sell sift sonicares) or is it best to be on the safe side and just use a very soft brush manually?
Hi Natasha, Are you talking about gingivitis or periodontal disease? Both are gum diseases, but gingivitis comes first, then if not treated it will turn to periodontitis. They say that gingivitis can be reversed easily with enough care & time put to the oral care, but they say that periodontal disease (which comes after gingivitis, & it recedes the gums back more & more) is not reversible. So, I wonder, is this video going out to people with gingivitis or periodontal disease?
I have a gum issue. I've been brushing my teeth three times a day. Thanks for all the info; I'm gonna scale back.
Brushing with Neem Oil and pressing garlic against my infected gums has been doing wonders to kill bacteria. To anyone trying to restore their gums to health, I highly recommend brushing with Neem oil. Neem is really bitter, but bitter is the antidote to sweet. (Oh yeah, see your dentist too!!)
@ClearOutSamskaras Off the Neem oil now and no longer need the garlic. Using neem toothpaste right now and it has given a lot of relief to my gums which were inflamed in part from the intensity of the garlic.
Are you saying you stopped your gums from receding further or actually grew back some gums that you had initially lost? I am interested in having my gums regrow so that my two teeth look smaller like they used to especially for my two big front teeth which look longer because of the receded gums.
A good mouthwash can help to control bacteria in the mouth. Even adding a few drops of tea tree oil to half a glass of water can be used to wash the mouth and control bacteria, vuruses and fungus. Works wonders, I have found.
Hmmmm, I have always found that my mouth heals quite quickly when there are problems, of course receding gum s would be quite different from other mouth ailments, but I always found that because the areas in the mouth are usually wet or moist, it tends to heal quickly. That's just my personal experience.
Receding gums can be caused by many things for example vigorous hard brushing with a hard toothbrush, over time that will erode the gumline. There are a number of factors.
@NowWithStuff You asked what is wrong with dried fruits. Dried fruit is sticky & it sticks to the teeth. fruit has lots of sugars in it, so this can lead to more cavities. Fresh fruit isn't so sticky so it is less risky for the teeth.
You look different here from all your other videos lol, not in a bad way but i thought you have brown eyes in this video and then saw in the more clear vids that they are lighter. :)
Gingival recession does not repair or correct itself and neither does periodontitis. Gingivitis is reversible by practicing diligent oral hygiene. It is the mechanical action of the bristles of a soft tooth brush, proper technique, and flossing that reduces the biofilm called plaque that adheres to our teeth. The biofilm harbors the bacteria that is the culprits to oral health. I have been a dental hygienist for 23 yrs and always have suggested electric brushes that either spin or oscillate.
When a person has receding gum tissue, it is generally from gingivitis, periodontal disease, or trauma from mal-occlusion, improper brushing techniques, or injury. The enamel of the teeth do not corrode, but they demineralize from the biproducts of bacterial waste/toxins. Streptococcus mutans and Lactobacilli are the primarly bacteria that are responsible for dental caries. The mouth heals quite quickly compared to other areas because the cells are replaced about every 2 wks.
Natasha, Thank you for that most helpful hint! I have just started the 80/10/10 and was concerned as to whether or not my teeth would start rotting in my head LOL do to the sugar in the fruit. Using soap is something new to me as well oil pulling ( which I saw in one of your earlier vids).
@midnightmistress8675: You can make your own natural tooth paste. I will post a recipe on my channel in the comment section. It will remain posted for a few weeks.
I also brush too hard , I switched to "very soft" . I don't know why I push so hard I do the same thing when writing , just mash down so hard . I use no flouride Toms toothpaste and aluminum free deoderant . I must get back to oil pulling , I think I cured a cvity before . I had a tooth that was hurting and started oil pulling every morning for 2 weeks with sunflower oil and all pain went away . Thanks for the video . Peace .
coffee, alcohol and sugary drinks as well as brushing really hard was the culprit on my apparently receding gums. It should be obvious, why is this rediculously sweet tasting drinks making my mouth feel so strange.
@PrecisionTradingSys I'm curious about this, too... Natasha, did you actually reverse the problem, or just prevent any further recession? I'd like to be hopeful about improving things, but the general concensus is that the only way to restore a gum line in through surgery. :-(
My son is starting to get periodontal disease and he is only 13, I just purchased a tooth soap for him and one of the ingredients is kaolin clay. You mention in this video not to use clay do you think it will harm him?
My doctor recommended a product called Herbal Dentist, and it did wonders for my receding gums! Was available through his office, but found it for less on Ebay, keywords search "herbal dentist." Try it. It works!
Receding gums can be caused from overbrushing. Overbrushing is typically caused by people who are brushing too long, too harshly or too frequently. One solution is to buy an electric toothbrush.
Why not use Sensodyne - "Pronamel"...? Helps rebuild enamel...also use an electric oral b toothbrush with the sensitive brush head, it goes in circles.
Try some of the soap products on Etsy for teeth. There are alot of soapmakers out there that make superior tooth cleaning soap. You don't have to pay outragious prices for them either. You'll really see a differnce in your teeth and your pocketbook :)!.
Thank you very much for your testimony. I recently aknowledged i have this problem, probably because of aggressive brushing, mostly, that and raw fruits.
Now, what if i brush my teeth with some listerine-like liquid?
so true. toothpaste has sooo much crap in it! most everyone is using fluoride stuff though...you bring up a good point about film on teeth after brushing...wow i changed to organic mostly because of this and researching it
I've recently come across people brushing their teeth with coconut and even just water. Apparently it's working for them. I have also read testimonies on a Raw food forum about Oil Pulling being helpful.
That is so truth! I used to wash my teeth a lot too and in turned to be that another person that I know who doesn't do it had healthier teeth and gums than me!!!! I couldn't believe it, and I didn't know that there is tooth soap, thats's very interesting! There is more information on related topics at Symposier site available for physicians willing to deepen and share their knowledge with the help of other physicians.
Natasha - Any thoughts on paste VS powders for brushing? There are a number of recipes online. I have tried a couple - not the same feel as commercial products of course but the mouth feels awesome afterwards... and SO much cheaper.
Would you recommend dr. bronnar's to those who dont mind the foaminess? I use dr bronnar for my skin, hair, and as a shaving cream, and I didnt know I could use it for my teeth! Thats awesome!
Thanks Natasha!! This is one of the biggest health issues that is plaguing my mind right now. I'm planning to make an appt with my dentist, but I fear I might need a gum graft on one of my back teeth already. I just don't want to lose my teeth!! I have nerves exposed on about four of my teeth, too, so it's really frightening. I like your suggestions--I have been told about tooth soap before, so maybe I will buy some. I use Tom's of Maine right now.
I am healing an abcess tooth with a protocol I developed myself...I have gone from excruiciating pain and headaches, infection, etc. to virutally no pain in that tooth, headaches almost completely gone, and the infection is just about gone. yep, toothpaste is horrible! I just might have to write a book about it :) great video natasha!
