Saw them at a venue at Deep Ellum in Dallas. Someone knocked a sink off the wall. The whole place was four inches deep in water.... Nobody moved... They're that good live...
@dennisengelhart I loved your comment. I once had a dream that, upon wakening, prompted me to quit my job, move out of my apartment, and change my whole life.....THAT very morning. There is something SO important to me about knowing that we are truly unconditionally in control of our lives; and that we exercise the right to prove it from time to time. Thanks for being inspiring, and for being a fellow, daring captain of your own soul. Peace.
this is my mother fuckin heart! you bunch of sorry fuckwads. id be happy to die today. iv lived and died over and over again. sorry about your morgage.
i love the song but in my oppinion chris is overdoing the singing, it ruines the song. it sounds more like screaming and yelling than singing. everything else is perfect
@blinkmefx then you've never been there live and felt the incredible connection the crowes make to their audience. I've seen them live three times - once wehn the opened for tom petty, and the Crowes are the most underrated act in rock today.
when god handed out soul chris stood in line three times, what a sight he is,the whole band, the horns, the backup singers, his brother, marc ford, listen up young people, they dont make music like this anymore.J
i'm going to be in the minority on this one, but i was disappointed. i was expecting an authentic, moving performance from a song i love. instead, this strikes me as an overdone spectacle.
They put on one of the best live shows you will ever see. Rock isn't dead you just have to search for it, because they sure do play real rock on the radio. Black Crowes for life.
i said farewell to my brother..my best friend..held my sweet daughters mother as she fought for her last breath and cried..held my grandmothers precious hand as the cancer took her from this world to the next..in the space of a few mos to a few days...give thanks for our hearts that drive us on
@shunsky115 you just half to take the falice out your mouth to truly enjoy them.
They are a Jam band. Chris doesn't sing it the same way twice. Not like the album. You know another artist notorious for that? Aretha Franklin! Did you think she sucked too?
Oh thanks for making that statement because, clearly, you have the final word.
How 'bout fuck off? Singing like "lalalalala?" Or something like this, with more feeling than you can experience in your lifetime? I hate ridiculous statements like this. Go colour for fuck's sake.
Chris Robinson...a washed up jealous screaming off key ugly rocker who always sucked…trying to ride on the back of the highly talented and successful Taylor Swift…Let's see you deliver solo with only an acoustic guitar on stage as back up?! You dance like an adolescent girl in heat! Just screaming inane crap! I guess quite a few million people world wide would like you to crawl back under your slimy rock! Greasy haired wrinkled up loser..just fade away quietly you annoying buzzing insect!

Must be a bunch of dipsh*ts to think he over-sings or the vocals were bad. THIS IS PROOF of the vocals live. Chris has more passion, talent and soul since any singer in the genre since like... Joe Cocker. I'll tell you who is off, the damn backup singers, they DO sound awful.
This song is about the absolute worst "TRAIN WRECK" imangineable...the love of your life stomping on your heart in the same way a narc would get stomped at a biker rally!!!!! The vocals would not do this song justice if they were "Prettied Up" and delivered with a bow. No this is raw emotion and if you can relate to this horror personally...tcrypted is 100% right, only Tina and Aretha could add a measure of betterness to this performance by singing backups!!!!!
I jam the hell out of the Crowes' studio albums but I've seen them live 2x and the vocals are a trainwreck.. Don't mean to be so critical but it's a shame that they have such potential and then mess it up so badly live on the vocals. The other guys do a great job live.. It's the vocals that are bad.
CROWES rule!!! Grew up in 70's&man the 80's SCARED ME.A few bands emerged in early90's that gave a little hope but with this 1st Album, especially this song, they were instantly one of my faves. STILL ARE!!! ROCK ON CHRIS&RICH! THANKS FOR POST!!
Bummed about the hiatus as well... but after all these years of touring, I can't blame any band for taking a long break. And given the tensions they've dealt with over the years, it amazes me they still get out there. Saw them in Hampton, NH Sunday night and was blown away. But that room hold 2200. Small theaters now it seems, despite how good the last couple of recording were.

Chris gets to the heart & soul of blues music. No one does it better & the band is awesome. I have always loved their music. WOW over & over again. Layla

The only way that could get better would be if Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner were singing backup !!!

This song is about the absolute worst "TRAIN WRECK" imangineable...the love of your life stomping on your heart in the same way a narc would get stomped at a biker rally!!!!! The vocals would not do this song justice if they were "Prettied Up" and delivered with a bow. No this is raw emotion and if you can relate to this horror personally...tcrypted is 100% right, only Tina and Aretha could add a measure of betterness to this performance by singing backups!!!!!@mofrocrowe
