  • @littleabigail123 That mixer if i am right is a kenwood chef premier it is about £399 in the uk but i don't know if you can get it in the us and au.

  • umm red velvet is not red cuz of food coloring ... something in the batter makes the cake red... *thats its not food coloring* im still on the hunt to find how to make red velvet red without food coloring

  • hi, I tried this recipe and they turned out more brown than red. I'm beginning to think I'm using the wrong sort of cocoa powder (Green & Black's), I'm just wondering what brand of cocoa powder you used for this

  • @WildWelshWitch he doesnt use as much red colouring as other ones iv seen so just try adding in more red if you feel it needs it =]

  • I have seen other recipes with a small amount of white wine vinegar which I think adds give them their unique flavour but not essential

  • @michelle13579123 Sometimes it'll show the color or maybe it's just the lighting. But mostly it will definitely shows the color of red. :)
