Actually I discovered agalloch by mistake: I am a trance listener and I like snowboarding a lot. And Limbs is on " That's it that's all" snowboard movie soundtrack and that was when I first heard agalloch. And i really liked it and i became a big fan
Agalloch isn't really well known enough to have people find it just to say it sucks. Unless someone actually knows and likes them thy won't search them out.
I like this song, but on the whole I preferred their Ashes Against the Grain album more.
its njice to see people who listen to agalloch also listen to teh music from oblivion i didnt know there were others out there who did, i love agalloch btw thank you for uploading take care =)
Agalloch, except of being the best atmospheric black metal band to come out of the United States, achieve with their music something far greater:to cross the genre's limited boundaries and create majestic music of the utmost quality by defying any simple-minded categorisation.Typical black metal bands are nothing compared to the greatness of Agalloch's music,a fact perfectly exemplified by this piece which bears no musical similarity to the black metal genre whatsoever.
and that's it, to excell at various genre's, that's what it's all about. Another parallel would be Buckethead, who can "shred" with the greatest to ever live, but not many know how beautiful and brilliant his softer stuff is.
This kind of stuff is incredible. I have nothing but the utmost respect for people that are capable of producing music such as this. Beautiful in every sense of the word.
may sound odd to most, i would love to hear these guys with Buckethead...i picture(hear) bliss...

This song is a masterpiece, yet it is only one song by Agalloch. Add them up and one album of Agalloch is worth 10 of my better CDs.
