Awsome carts there I'll b in grandview in like 2-3 months to get some Reuters I saw u mention one in your description for this vid is it in grandview and what shape I'm really in love with Reuter by the way it's rainbowdisposalman some chick destroyed my last account so I made a new one
Great find! I love all the old carts, the city of Atlanta has (at least had last time I was there) a bunch of old ones, some with the fork slots on the bottom and detachable lids from when carts first started to appear!
Thanks! There's a lot more to come! Walla Walla is a gold mine for old, rare, and just outright unusual carts! I'm going cart hunting this weekend lol!
Nice. When I lived in Rochester NY the passed out those square Toters in 93 or 94. I still remember watching the big semi 18 wheeler truck coming down the street :D
All of these carts are picked up with a 2009 Peterbilt 379/Heil DuraPack 5000. They do paper one day, plastic another, aluminum/tin another, etc. Before they bought the new Heil 5000, they were picked up by a Leach Beta II on one of those funny little Volvo cab-overs.
The old Leach Beta II had a 2-bar domestic tipper, ancient Bayne if I remember right. I've only seen the new truck going past the yard at 60 mph on the freeway, so I'm not 100% sure, but it looks to me like it has a grabber lift
Awesome find there! Even got the old WM logo! Those blue ones are sure odd looking! I want one! Can't wait for the Ruter cart footage! Too bad you were in a rough neighborhood, good thing there were no fights, or someone called the cops on you. Hope you can get more cart vids! 5 and fav!!!!!!
@KennysTrucks Yeah, this was a great find! I'll go downtown this weekend and get some better footage of more of these, plus some other odd recycling carts. And I'll get the Reuter cart too this weekend! I found some really cool carts too that I'll have to show you too. I have no idea who made them, but they are ancient and awesome!
It sure was! Thanks for getting footage of these old carts. I hope I'm not wasting your time. But I do hope you can get that footage! Good luck, and I'll look for it this evening.
It's no problem at all! I wasn't able to go over the weekend, cause I had to go help my grandma with some yard and house work, but tomorrow (Martin Luther King day) I will be out getting all kinds of carts, including the Reuter for you!
Thank you! Out of all the carts in this video (other than the bonus RMI and fully auto-Toter at the end) the fully auto Dura-Kan is probably the least rare of the carts in this video. I've found some really funky carts that DSI/Basin Disposal uses for their outside city limits garbage contract out by my school. I'm going filming there next Thursday! Some the carts out there have to be at least 20 years old!

Oh, and why won't they do business with WM?

Great job! That's definitely a cool mix of old carts.

Awesome! I sure miss these old carts! I like new carts too, but there's just something about these old carts...
TrashMonkey22 2 years ago
Yep, I guess part of it is they aren't coming back. Once their gone their gone.

I don't know the generation of the dura-kans here. I will make a vid and post it and see if you can tell me.

Does it have a 2-bar domestic lifter or one of the automated grabber style lifters?

That's ok. Family comes before garbage carts. At least you'll get it tomorrow. Thanks for getting it for me.
