In which way do you mean, feel or performance (curve / slope etc) ?
Well the curve / slope can be adjusted slighty with the digital circuitry. & the crossfader has a curve adjust knob.
In feel being a digital mixer the faders will feel a little looser than that of the analog faders. (due to lack of contacts) The up faders feel looser than DJM 600 for example, but perform similarly on the stock slope with most of the action / fade in the top third of the fader
is the sampler playback assignable to any channel or just plain playback over the master?

it has an assign knob for:ch 1,2,3,4, main mic, master, & off

the assign knob is for recording or for sample playback also? that was my inital question. just to be sure, thanx in advance

yes then it plays back over the master but you can control track volume by using the mode/stop knob on the left

The sound quality is much better on the Digital Denon DNX 1500 over the old Pioneer DJM 600.
