@donkeycheeks Prior to Shelley joining, their last major hit was Talking In Your Sleep, #15 in '84, and before that When We Were Young, #10 in '83, so their popularity was already on the wane. I love everything they've ever done, but the whole auditions process was so naff and tacky. Why didn't they just continue as a trio, they said as much in later years, that it would have been a lot easier that way, and that's what Cheryl and the boys did eventually anyway until Cheryl left in '93.

Hill and Martin made a big mistake introducing Shelley with this song since Jay Aston had already performed the song with Bucks Fizz on the show Razzamatazz.

They should have introduced Shelley with the song New Beginning, thereby allowing a true  "new beginning" for Shelley and the new Bucks Fizz.

i'm sure shelley is a very nice person.. but a popstar she isn't.. the band went really butlins when she joined..like a dodgy band who played clubs in blackpool..(the blokes started to look like black lace).. jay was just way cooler. they looked better with jay in the group. its just a shame as the songs were still not bad..
