  • Col. Tigh walking in Slow mo. nuff said.

  • SEASON 2 = the best! 3 and 4 were ok but they lacked consistency and emotion!

  • @raoulhery Agreed! Season must be the climax of the series!

  • MCCREARY transformed an EPIC serie into a PERFECT PIECE OF ART

  • Liberty dying never sounded so good.

  • The scene where Tigh desolves the Quorom and declares martial law is so powerful. Up until that point, the only thing that is as powerful is the shooting of Adama. It really shows the genuine reaction that such an action would have in that situation given the long standing government.

  • I love this theme, not to sound redundant but it's EPIC

  • One of my favourite episodes of All times, honestly, the second time I finished watching this episode, I ended up getting the sound track, haha, Loved it that much.

  • Whats that theme they play in the episode "Black Market"? It's the one when they show Lee with Shivon on caprica before the fall.

  • Amazing

  • There should be a "Epic" choice in the "Reaction" box right there ---> .

Incredible is not enough. I really need to watch this series.

  • @Archelterreure Lol

  • I think there was two Saul Thighs. One was the replacement after Adama was shot, weak and indecisive, manipulated by Ellen. The second was the one on New Caprica, a man who had seen more and fully understood the weight of the actions he took. He was a character who, more than others, subtly grew to be a more competent commander and compassionate person.

  • outstanding post, I've been tracking down this one all day. THANKS!!!1

  • Tigh was never meant to command a battlestar, If he had, a full scale mutiny would have happened, Including the Marines on board!

  • One of the best moments of Tigh.

  • The scenes connect so well with the music...

  • PERFECT MUSICA!

  • I just felt the need to slap Ellen throughout this entire Kobol mini-arc

  • love LOVE LOVE this track, it kind of becomes Tigh's theme in series 2 with little reprises every so often...fantastic music

  • Ah yes! This was the song I was looking for! :)

  • This song expresses col. tighs feelings and sence of panic when adama was shot and the only way he knew how to control things, he still did it but with great cost. but hes a soldier he pulled through..

  • Download?

  • @Shade373 youtube-mp3 . org

  • This song is WIN!

  • two Cylons saw this video

  • The tune is familiar. Can anyone place an inspiration for it? I think it's similar to a theme from a movie about the second world war that I may have heard a long time ago. If I'm right, then Mr McReady may have deliberately reminded (some of) us of the parallel with the death of freedom in the 1940s. Or it might be a complete mistake on my part. :-D

  • ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥I love this song ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

  • Song makes me feel like there is no hope, just despair.... Great Job It's Epic especially for a t.v. show soundtrack

  • BTW:

2 people are cylon agents! ^

  • @Beagle2063 By your command....oops did i reveal my cover ;)

  • Best Galactica song ever...

I nominate this to be the new Colonial anthem.

  • "There's a reason you separate the military and the police: one fights the enemies of the state, the other serves and protects the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people."

  • @Sleeper919 word for word quote of at the commander adam

  • @BSGNEXUS This was the quote that was thrown around not so long ago which was particularly relevant to the political revolution in Egypt.

  • @Sleeper919 What if the enemy is the people

  • @KREW32392 DUMBASS

  • @KREW32392 The goverment and military serve the people. Thus the people cannot and must not ever become the enemy.

  • @Sleeper919 tell that to our politicians (American ones) that apparently cannot do either one, as both the enemy and the state are persecuted daily, though the enemy has it better off since they don't actually live in this scum-infested country,

  • With every fiber of my body, I miss this show. It was unimaginable adventure!!! I want it back!!!

  • @HVGInvestment i couldn't agree more.

  • You can almost hear liberty dying when you listen to this

  • can't find words... :')

  • This music is EPIC!

  • idk why,but i actually kindda

    liike this (:

  • @Legionary101 i completely agree, this should be extented to around 4-5 mins and it would trully be one of THE finest pieces of music to ever come out of a tv show

  • Ms. Roslin is now resting comfortably aboard this ship, where she will remain until such time as the Commander deems otherwise. As it appears obvious that the government cannot function under the current circumstances, I have decided to dissolve the Quorum of Twelve, and as of this moment, I have declared martial law.

  • This video really needs the dialogue from tighs declaration :<

"the events which took place aboard Colonial One are unfortunate. Laura Roslin's actions in supporting mutiny and sedition among the military could not be tolerated. Therefore, Commander Adama was left with no choice other than to remove her from office.

  • she and her administration have spread mutiny and rebellion among the military and the fleet. which is why I am now declaring martial law

  • Nothing better then reading off a list from a piece of paper why you are starting martial law; just to see the paper is blank. lol

  • @yoktukie I've looked carefully. It isn't blank! Tigh bothered to write down the speech! Love this song, and that scene.

  • Whoa. This. Is. EPIC! 73, 500... views and 1 dislike. God, I love the song!

  • @BubblyVicky

    What the frack!?

    1 dislike.... ?!

  • @acleverboy misclick. He/she was mastujrbating to the song

  • Sorry, I meant Tigh, not Togh

  • Tigh's theme is inspired by present-day military hymns and represents almost the only use of orchestral brass in the entire score. McCreary "wanted to create a musical idea that would represent both strength and loyalty, as well as his unpredictable and dangerous nature." Tigh's theme is first stated during Colonel Tigh's declaration of martial law in "Fragged"; it returns during the third season, playing as Tigh is released from prison and over other key character moments for Tigh.

  • My best favourite in the whole soundtrack, and also one of the best scenes when Tigh declares the martial war. His speech remembers me all old 'announcements' from USSR or latin america, when some general deposed a president. Great Tigh, he's perhaps the most misunderstood character. Fortunately, last two series have given him back some honor.

  • @Riveda1972 Too bad people don't have honor these days ... Like you can't base your life on honor anymore ...

  • @masketkiller101 if you want honor, join the United States Marines if you still stand for this government that we have

  • @boomer4190 im afraid not after all, the american government is controlled by the jews and masons. It's basicly like communism but worst because you don't know about it. Everything is covered by the media, the truth is kept secret.

  • @masketkiller101 if you really belive all that mason and jewish conspiracy shit, you're a fucking retard. I seriously hope you were being satirical - 'cuz that shit is the most retarded shit I've ever seen on these boards. Shadow gov't? Don't flatter yourself. Thinking that is a way to make yourself feel important, like you're the guy who figured it all out. Like you're significant enough to be surpressed/oppressed. Just masturbation, retard.

  • @boomer4190

Eh, the american military isnt a very "honourable" one.Powerful yes, but not honourable.

  • @zeratul1356 What do you know? I'm sure you're well educated on the subject quite the expert.

  • @IronHawk

Haha you dont have to be very educated to know this.Heck, im sure more british troops have been blown up in tanks from US aircraft then actual terrorists.Rather sad and unfrotuante to be honest. But actually for your information, military subjects are my best.Everything from the present to the past.

  • @zeratul1356 judging by your lousy spelling, you're from the former British Empire. With that said, what makes the Queen's military more honorable than the United States' armed forces?

  • @masketkiller101

40 years ago, 1 out of 10 men didnt hold the door open for someone when entering a building.Today, 1 out of 10 men do hold the door open for someone entering a building.....

  • @zeratul1356

everyone holds open doors at my college. :P

  • @MCulpa

Then thats good.Because most people dont. And I know this from experience everyday

  • @zeratul1356

Your experience must be different from mine.

  • @MCulpa

    Fair enough

  • My best favourite in the whole soundtrack, and also one of the best scenes when Tigh declares the martial war. His speech remembers me all old 'announcements' from USSR or latin america, when some general deposed a president. Great Tigh, he's perhaps the most misunderstood character. Fortunately, last two series have given him back some honor.

  • I love this scene when Tigh declares martial law - reads the 'report'... straightens up at the end and folds it, and you see that it is blank... great speech on his part - they call him Saul 'hard ass' Tigh for a reason =)

  • I like when saul tigh makes martial law :p

  • Increíble banda sonora.

  • Crimson Tide!

  • well... it remainds me a little the 'battle' form narnia soundtrack :)

  • @Madzia19931 narnia is gay.

  • Sounds one of the Gladiator pieces by Zimmer.

  • Exactly, I had the same thought. Equally beautiful...

  • "...and so from this moment forward: I officially declare Martial Law!" - Saul Tigh

  • Tigh walking away from the podium in slow mo instantly comes to mind when this music plays....having watched the show multiple times through i think its burned in my mind hehe

  • This music is the epitome of awesomness.

IF ever i commence a coup, this music has to be fucking played in the backround. WHY SO SHORT???...thats my only complaint lol

  • Too true, althogh remember it was scored for the scene that's why it is such a short length.

    Great scene!

  • @Legionary101 A-fucking men. Something Dark Is Coming is like 8:30 and this is not even two minutes long. Saul Togh is the frakkin' man.

  • @Legionary101 yeah when the coup happens ill be carring the boom-box playing this song as we storm the capitol.

  • @Legionary101 aye! powerful music. good for morale! ;)

  • @Legionary101 I think you meant "frakking".

  • My brother is in the Marines and whenever I hear this song I think of him marching, in full pack, off to battle.

  • oh that's awesome.

  • This sounds just like the Blade Trinity Last movie scene track when the team finds Blade lying in the crater.but with a Bsg twist...HOLY SHIT!!YES!

  • where can i get it?...i can't find it on itunes

  • Tigh is awesome. He may not be the perfect XO but he is loyal and knows what has to be done.

  • I didnt know that...now I know.

  • So what?

    ''It's within this frakkin ship!!!''

''Will somebody turn off this frakking music!?''

''40 I've been an officer in Colonial Fleet....''

  • This is a fantastic bit of season 2, the music for the entire show is soo fitting its amazing.

    So say we all.

  • One of my favorite parts of this show is when Tigh declares Martial Law. So good!

  • The ultimate music for a coup or any other kind of takeover.

  • this song is so sad...

  • Wish this track was longer

  • When I saw this scene i was like "Tigh.............what have you done?"

  • Great beat when Tigh pulls the flask out after declaring martial law and takes a swig.

  • yeah, but he is scared of leadership

  • Tigh is God! Literally in some respects.

  • is this the full song

  • legendary tigh preformance

  • Song is great but soundtrack from season 2 "Adama & Roslin" is the best ;)

  • hört sich an wie narnia :)

  • "I have no choice but to declare Martial law.."

  • Great song! 5/5

  • In love this song

  • Excellent song. It just dives right in there at the beginning with that soft horn and the quiet strings in the background...Bear is God!

  • i love the bsg music......its one of the things that makes this show so great and so different. its not like any other shows music. one of a kind....im gonna miss it...SO SAY WE ALL

  • SO SAY WE ALL

  • SO SAY WE ALL

  • SO SAY WE ALL !

  • SO SAY WE ALL !!!

  • SO SAY WE ALL!

  • yah yah, SO SAY WE ALL!!!

... i really need to watch this show to figure out what I just did XP

  • Am i the only one who think this song is way to short for how good it is? It should last hours!

  • Wow, Bear is amazing. Just got the T:SCC soundtrack, and have been listening to that on repeat. Need to find this one too now XP

  • T:SCC?

  • Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. It's the other TV series that Bear orchistrates.

And Moriyere, you are so right there. Alas, we will have to make due with just under 2 minutes.

  • whats the best drum song like this?

  • This was a great track, the way Tigh just suddenly lost it in declaring Martial Law and all he had is in hand was a blank piece of paper, walks out the room "Get thoes people of my ship!" Drinks from his whisky flask and moves on. Classic.

  • Yeah one of my favourite scenes. Good old Saul, he looked distinctly

    Mussolini-like.

  • gentle execution is one of my favorites, for the gravity is carries, and saul

  • Love that scene. one of my favorites in the series. He did the right thing.

  • Beautiful

  • God I love this song. Such an amazing soundtrack, I'll put the album on repeat and just let it loop endlessly.

  • thank you for uploading this epic soundtrack dude youre awesome

  • drums make it more epic for me to listen to..

  • Does anyone have the mp3 for this?

  • I love this song, i now listen to it 24 h and im dragging other people to like the bsg songs! This rocks!

  • This song really fits atmosphere, how serious is Martial Law.

  • Realy creates the mood of the situation of martial law through song. Shows how emotionally powerful music can be.

  • ya it does

  • your right, when i imagine a scenario of invasion, dictatorship, or martial law this music fits perfect

  • what is martial law?

  • It is basiclly "Military" law when the military take over a government or the leader of a government descides to use the military to make their control stronger.

  • No. Well yes, Martial Law can be used like that, but taking the direct meaning:

"Martial law is the system of rules that takes effect when the military takes control of the normal administration of justice."

This is not always used as a power play. It can be used to apply some form of order in a war torn part of the world (Where you have troops).

  • Just to make the point clearer that Martial Law isn't always a power play:

Martial Law has been declared three times in Canada: World War 1 and 2, and the October Crisis of 1970.

United States: Besides a few times before the 1900's, Hawaii was held under Martial Law during World War 2.

  • There are quite a few people who care for Canada thank you very much!

Next time you want to bash my country, do it for a reason.

  • Or if you actually refer to the show, it was when Colonel Tigh assumes control of the military after Adama is shot and while Roslin is in Galactica's brig, and he dissolves the Quorum of Twelve and declares martial law. It essentially meant that the government was in control and had no say over the affairs of the fleet.

  • your wrong on one thing... it means that the "Military" is in control and not the government

  • Ahh I meant military. It was 4a.m lol.

  • Yeah

  • GREAT SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thanks for all these videos!!
