  • I saw the Norfolk Southern about a week ago and didn't even know what it was!!! all I see are the BNSF and amtrak...

  • i count there are 113 blocks in this train including all 8 engines very long train cool i like it...

  • Good video, nice camera work as well

  • longest train - rare catch.....

  • that is a cool video

  • I wonder if I could get hired by a railroad as a conductor. I am almost 46, take meds for hypertension and type 2 diabetes. And I wear glasses.

  • @adelgado75 You've got my vote!

  • Nice, to bad only the ES40's were the only one's running.

  • Bet that made

A few folks late to work!

  • i counter 100 cars!!!!

  • Now that's what I call a freight train !!!! If you get caught at a crossing with a burger and fries would be able to eat it comfortably.

  • How many vehicles is that? Must be a contender for world's longest train!

  • Only the first two engines are powered. The rest are being towed. Probably to a scrap yard.

  • Very nice quality vid ill say that , but I dont get it either whats so special. I mean Ive liked trains all my life and work on them but dont really care yuh know. If you wanna see piece of shit yard engines or junk we aint using just being stored come out to bailey yard...weve got tons of trash. Once you work on some of the nasty old clunkers you get a little different view on them. Still good vid man.

  • America = BIG trains

    Britain = The FIRST trains

  • 8 engines and 104 load cars

  • 8 engines and 104 load cars

  • whoooohooo 8 train !!..... and 104 wagons ?

    yeeeeeeh :D

  • So much train!

  • Dont want to be a pain, but it seems that only engines n°1 and n°2 are in opération, the 6 other ones are most likely pulled as vehicles. You van hear the noise of the engines in the first footage only for the first locomotives, and in the second shot you clearly see heat comming out the exhaut and vent systems over the only two first engines...

In other words, nothing so special (sry!) :-( except that this is a long train according to EU standards

  • AWESOME!! FANTASITC MOTIVE POWER!!

  • CSX 1554 was Ex. CR 1658

  • NS 8420 was Ex. CR 6231

NS 8315 was Ex. CR 6053

NS 5329 was Ex. CR 8157 and before that CR 8157 was PC 8157

NS 5277 was Ex. CR 8070 and before that CR 8070 was PC 8070

CSX 1554 was Ex. CR ?

NS 5312 was Ex. CR 8129 and before that CR 8129 was PC 8129

NS 1705 was Ex. CR 6666 and before that CR 6666 was EL 3681

NS 1703 was Ex. CR 6662 and before that CR 6662 was EL 3677

So not only did you catch Ex. CR locomotives but you also caught old Penn Central and Erie Lackawanna locomotives!

  • Nice! Love live Conrail!

  • wuts so rare about it i see those kind of things daily

  • @kmdjones1

Unless you live along Conrail Shared Assets in New Jersey, you would not see these everday. And I don't think every railfan lives along CSAO, not to mention, you can't see blue GP15-1's any more because they were all repainted.

  • @o00o00ozy U the man! great vid just like everything you put up brother. We live in toledo Ohio so we get rare power daily an nightly. it is funny how some people think they have the "rare" power or some special trains but if you live aorund a major rial center aorund a city area then you see it daily. What is rare for one is daily for another. Like someone who lives next to that scab non union RR MRL that is about all thye get other than BNSF. Toledo is the player. GOD BLESS

  • @ussoldierrail Also I have mentioned it before but if you get the chance check us out at toledoOHindependentrailfan @ photbucket. I gave away two free gevos this past weekend to a poor working class hero family. i give away HO scale to poor, workign class poor, lower class and union or military NO REPUBLICANS yuppies period or those trying to play poor. GOD BLESS all union brother and sister working heros. We are also a military family served in iraq and now in afghanstan.

  • @o00o00ozy let me just ask, whats the difference between a GP15-1 and a GP90 (or whatever it is)

  • kool

  • 103 wagons, amazing

  • Derry Road in Hershey,Pa. is a "GREAT" railroading spot! Never saw an 8 locomotive lash -up there! Did see the circus train though. Plus the Hershey GP switcher!!!

    GREAT Catch ! :-)

  • Another great video! Keep 'em coming.

  • I'm not a train fan, but this amazes me. Nice work :)

  • This may be the best to you. The best to me was when i was a rail photographer and not a filmer. NS Intermodel. Lead Unit was a GP38 for NS with seven Warbonnets from BNSF/ATSF

  • Only the two GE's on the front seem to be actually working, then? Still sound pretty good.

  • The second scene was ausome with the flashing crossing lights reflecting off the locomotives!!

  • Like your videos . Steady(tripod) and HD quality .

  • All of the CSX/Conrail painted GP15's have been repainted, which is sad.

  • Wow! I used to count long trains going across the Arizona desert but I don't remember one this long. Great catch.

  • What are the containers at 1:23-28? I also miss CR blue.

  • @epistte They are trash containers.

  • I had no idea that so much refuse traveled by rail. Thanks.

  • @epistte I didn't know what they were trash containers either up until a few weeks ago. Woodburne station in PA sees those trash trains a lot on the CSX Trenton Line.

  • I live close to the NS Fort Wayne-Pittsburgh line and I don't see much refuse pass though. It's mostly coal, intermodal and mixed freight.

  • i really gotta stop commenting during the video and watch the entire thing lol- not only rare engines but a 2 way meet lol

  • You can always count on Norfolk Southern. =D

Lots of helpers which I've never seen before.

  • That is epic, I thought I was lucky finding it on a CSX train, but you got one of only two blue GP15-1's on CSX on a NS train!!!!!

  • HOLY SHIT! AWESOME video!

  • hehe hell yeah

  • Damn.. And i thought i was going to be getting some bragging rights to lash-ups.. Guess thats gone now
