AWFUL,we have something called, care in the community', it means they get a flt and have to deal with their problems with little of no professional help, not fair, not fair at all.
yep, it's amazing and great to see how people in the position help each other,I think they is lessons to be learnt from watching and learning from their ways.
i saw it ,first hand, when people are stuck, they help each other, it's a great thing, the religious people that help are worth their weight in gold, it's a great thing they do and they deserve respect as 'good' people.
it's makes me wonder, if life would be so bad, if we went to this postion where people needed each other to make life easier, instead of the selfish ways we have now.
I have a massive amount of respect for the church going folks that help out,I may be 'hardcore' atheist but when I watch the religious do good deeds in this way, I have nothing but respect for them, good good people.
I saw a news piece on patient dumping...they actually had footage of someone dropping a patient (older woman) off at an entrance and taking off! They didn't even bother to bring the woman inside to get checked in! She walked the streets in a hospital gown disorientated until a good samaritan found her...it is a shame and disgraceful! It just saddens me....
I don't think I saw that...but you know what, I don't doubt that it happened and that makes it even more deplorable...because it is believable. ((sigh))
I've barely scratched the surface of giving (small) voice to the powerless in this series (playlist), but I don't want to be too much of a bummer (bad pun, eh?).
I think that you are doing an EXCELLENT job--the homeless need an advocate and must be spoken for. BRAVO a MARQUISDEJOLIE!!! If you don't SPEAK UP, who will?!
The world makes less sense to me the longer I live...

Yeah, It'd be REAL COOL if YouTube did something extraordinary...
and used their 'connections' and then, for once
FEATURED videos & channels of HONEST content.
Something critical to all of us, young & old.
Oh, sorry, I fell asleep & started to dream while typing again.

I always think of Ronald Reagan when I hear stories like this. It's become a conditioned response.

Oh, all those mental patients his administration booted to the streets? Yeah. Governmental patient dumping.

I'll second that... Makes me sick.

I DID see churches and other homeless people helping the homeless in L.A., just not so much the for profit healthcare folks.

Did you see the paraplegic man with a colostomy bag still attached dumped on downtown L.A.'s streets? He had to crawl to the nearest mission.

Tragic! From what I've heard about the VA lately, I don't expect logic from them.

It's the budget. Gotta stay in the budget so that the top V.A. administrators can get their million dollar bonuses.
