You already have a six pack its just covered in fat, and you can't specifically remove fat from a certain area by exercising it. You have to do aerobics.
as many as you can, 3 to 5 sets a day. or if you wanna really go for it, with a healthy diet, you can do 4 sets in the morning, and 4 in the evening, and a run/swim, midday.
and when i say, as many as you can, you know when it starts burning?

sit-ups are NOT "bad" for your back. although when done incorrectly, they could be quite damaging. I don't know about you, but when i get up in the morning, i SIT UP out of bed. Sit ups done as an exercise with arms across the chest, knees bent and feet flat on the floor bringing your armpits to your knee caps is a very healty, safe way to do a sit up. of the main way to lose ure fat. the only way to really lose fat is by raising your metabolism!! this means that for the 23 hour that are left in the day your body will be burning fat!! along with the increased muscle from resistance training you will become a fat burning machine!! to further raise your metabilsm you need to encorporate Interval Training into your workout after every resistance trainging session!! Interval training consists of normally 6 sets which are broken down as follows!!

Also, remember that the only way that ure going to see your abs is if you can lose the fat that is covering them!! this means that one of the main factors to lose this fat is diet!!! 70% of the work when losing fat is diet. if your eating fatty foods which are high in saturates your going to be putting the fat back on as soon as u lose it!!
