  • great work try soloing the melody with a gentle solo reed :) it works well. I must agree with the change of stops though as a professional. This is the way we play hymns in the Lutheran church, the stop selection reflects the verses. If you aren't at a stage where you can change stops quickly, just try soloing out the melody during the refrain. Otherwise, yes you run the risk of becoming monotonous musically! Keep it up!

  • @TheVOC Ya, I will probably replace this video soon, whenever we sing this in church again. I'll change the stops as I go a little.

  • A change of stops isn't a bad thing, Rocket. That being said though, I'd challenge anyone else to sit at an organ or piano and lead a church in the music. That's usually my first response to someone who's critical of a selection or a mistake. At any rate, this is a great performance of a wonderful hymn!

  • @ecuClark09 I totally agree with you!

  • Awesome. Perfectly Awesome. I have a first comment, re. Speaks3703. Yes it was more than well played. Change of stops my friend? Do we change up when we say the rosary? I didn't think so. Monotonous? Sorry if you find anything associated with Jesus Christ to be monotonous, but people like me and CoolNick107 don't. ... You see, with the Lord, there are no stops. Stops get you in trouble. Just Go. - Richard Reale, The Jarmels. Hey, Nick? I play guitar. Duet. Your church. Facebook me. Amen.

  • "gawgous honey"

  • Very well done. Congratulations.

  • Well played, but perhaps a change of stops would break up the monotony a bit.

  • Nicely played. Well done.
