  • good sound in that Petrof. It really sounds in the slower middle part.

  • Petrof!!!

  • Many mistakes, but still good :) I'd just work those out before you record it.

  • yay czerny in the background :) good practice

  • good job! =))

    im also learning this piece...

  • u better buy some new glasses you dont respect what's written there

  • @irrusu I've already bought some new glasses ;) anyway, thanks for the advice :D

  • I agree. It is worse than worst.

  • Thank you for sharing your playing with the rest of the world :)

  • Geat!

    Thank you

  • I think it was quite ok.. but faaar from perfect

  • what a fuck are you doing around 1: 14 It's supposed to be tvice as fast as you play it

  • For those of you who have the nerves to insult Stefan:

let's see how much "better" you all can do IF you can even read music.

No, farting with your mouth doesn't count!

You are bitter since this song is about a wedding.

You're a bunch of hideous bastards who will marry creatures that resemble bugs LOL

You eat dust, which will explain why you are so retarded.

Sad news for you: Attacking Stefan won't make you any better off LOL

It does, however, show just how PATHETIC you are

  • @gorgeousalphawoman

I would respect this response much more had you not included "LOL" and "retarded". Relax. a) It's not like the people insulting him care. b) We know he's good, and that's what counts.

  • I can care less if you have respect or whatever else for me.

I was not interested in teaching anyone. I was having fun dismissing moronic people.

I have no objective to edit my language to mind anyone's feelings let alone to please anyone at all.

You definately should take your own advice and relax, buddy.

The boy isn't that good either.

It is fun, however, to write to the contrary of what you see.

Someone should really prompt an LOL

  • Thanks for sounding polite though.

At least you have the sense to say something that makes some sense.

I have much more "respekt" for you than I would have for the cowards who lack words but have barely enough courage to give me a thumb down.

By the way, have a good day

    Shadow5star!

  • honey, you should use a pin to keep the book in place ;)

  • that is very good

  • Nice!

  • No offence but my piano teacher did this better than you he could turn the page quickly so it sounded flowy. Actually you might not be offended because he's only been TEACHING for 30 years so thats probably why. Besides that your great at this kinda stuff. Keep it up!

  • This is one of my favourite pieces!!! even though there are obvious flaws it still sounds good. But have you ever thought about recording it again?

  • Currently not because I have so much other things to play. But any time, it surely would be worth to have a second recording of this piece.

  • Loved it. Mike

  • Good job! It still sounds great, no matter what mistakes there maybe

  • Possibly the worst performance I have ever come across of this brilliant piece. However the slow central section was not bad. Too much pedalling! This is a modern fashion - the great 19th century pianists seldom used it to such an extent.

  • I think it's not good, too. :P

  • @owatson322utube please shut up. Can you pla the piece perfectly? If so post it here and I'll let you know if it's good or not.

  • As it happens, I can, but sadly I have no means of uploading a video, otherwise I would be delighted. Besides this, even if I couldn't play it, I know how it is meant to be played.

  • @owatson322utube

Agreed, however I don't think the piano did much for the performance...

  • Hey, I agree that this is not one of my best videos...Today I would have practised more before posting. But I won't delete it because it's just a part of my collection of pieces though some passages aren't really satisfying.

  • @Klangzauberer

Thats the right attitude! Keep on playing. What matters is progress and work. :)

  • i agree but the cursing! really

  • wat part of my reply is a cursing.......

  • bully!

i don't think anyone mentioned here that this is a concert performance. it's youtube!

  • Where's the fortisisimo, man?!

  • The last few minutes were THE best.

reminded me of the reason why I chose to play this piece for my CMs.

Good playing. But maybe a little more soul. But I envy you at the moment, since I've only started to learn the piece. Keep it up. You're very good.

  • I started learning it a few months ago. I'm only to page five, because, I started on it about 5 years early.

  • THis piece is so much fun to play :) I enjoyed watching you perform :) Keep up the playing!

  • adoro questo brano...mi piace da impazzire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • you have talent, but you need to put your own emotion and feelings into the music, not just read off the page.

  • you are right...never the less....not good playing either...

  • not good played

  • not well constructed sentence. not good grammar

  • You know you just burned yourself there, right?

  • I love this Piece! So dynamic!

  • amazing~!! :]!!

  • Great phrasing-i'm learning this piece, too, but it's set up for two pianos. If you like Czerny exercises, might I reccomend practicing with Dohnani's finger exercises? It's really helped me.

  • This is the most lovable Norwegian song in my opinion. It should be played on the national day (17th of May) which is tomorrow!:) I love the sound of your piano! This song is highly esteemed by Norwegians!

    Hurra for 17. mai! :D

  • I absolutely love this song! This may sound odd, but I wish I had long fingers like you. This song is difficult for me because my hands gets tired with all of the reaching!

  • When I would start Mozart and Beethoven without any basis, of course I could pick these figurations out and learn them improving my general technique. But when I would practise too much general technique with great composers, I probably would destroy the joy of playing pieces which are written by great composers. And indeed, Czerny improved my technique a lot and I am still practising with his exercises. But of course that is my personal experience.

  • needs a bit of work on speed, volume and timing but you have lots of sensitive musical phrasing there. i think you have talent but you need to correct some faults, especially in rythmn and tempo. By the way... Czerny?? -ouch!! get rid of it, it's a waste of time ;-)learn normal scales and arpeggios by heart, but apart from you should get your technique by practising great beethoven or mozart music which has all those types of czerny figurations in it but much more valuable to learn.

  • Thanks for your detailed comment. I totally agree with your point that I have to improve a lot as well as there is nice phrasing especially in the mid part. I could imagine me playing this in a few years having a lot of things improved. Often this success comes when you work on your technique in general. And now we come to Czerny...I think it is good that his exercices are short and I can learn with every short piece a special figuration isolated.

  • You call that fortissimo!!? Very good. Keep working to perfect it. Great piece.

  • sorryy.. I meant "very well played".. good job :)

  • very nice played!!!!!!!!

  • I can also play it and I cave also this Czerny book :D But its lots of years ago since I played it...though its my favourite!

  • You play it nice. Maybe it should be just a little faster then everything would be fine!

  • It is a bit choppy. Silverlining is right, it needs a little more bounce.

P.S.: You might want to spiral-bound that book. It's about to fall off!

  • I know :) in my later performances there is only the sheet music I'm playing...

  • r u at university in tht video? looks like a uni room

  • Should I understand it as a compliment? Anyway, it's my living room!!!

  • Sorry but that was not nice at all!! The pedal at the begin is fine, but you need to change it more!! The rythym is wrong at some places, and the place where the off-beat notes play - that is a crescendo!! You need to hear the left hand you know!! And the middle part is FFF!! The Piece need some serious work, but mabey its stil the beginning? Gd luck

  • Good effort, but at the beginning i believe that there should be less pedal and more "bounce"... the syncopated rhythm in the 3rd page needs a bit of looking at, but the notes are mostely there now, so your on the right track with the piece... Nice one!

  • Pretty good but you missed a few times:)

It is a very beautiful song and you played it well:))

  • WOW, bin begeistert!!

    Grüße

    Jonathan

  • You missed the syncopated rythym on the second/third pages... I imagine you missed it on the end as well

  • Hi! You should try Grieg`s Ballads. Halling aus dem Hallingtal is absolutely wonderful. But it`s quite norwegian, if you know what I mean...

  • Why give the German title?

  • good attempt but there wasn't alot of expression and was a little rough in places
