The legend in 1980 (when I went there), was there was an orphanage or asylum or something full of albinos. They only came out at night & they hated 'normal' people. There used to be a statue of The Virgin Mary at the bottom of the road w/a light over it. The legend said if the light was on, it was safe to go up the road, but if the lightbulb was out the albinos were out & would get you! Glad to know the legend has been passed down.

hey kids, that was..interesting. To get a few facts accurate; the Buckhout Mansion was demolished several years ago and was not directly on Buckout Rd. I'm not sure what house you're randomly honking in front of bc nobody had the sense to use a backlight on the camera or a flash light...not trying to be a dick or anything, just saying. There are not an albinos on this road..I'm not sure why people are 'scared' for lack of better words of albinos, thats pretty absurd.
