  • Love this song!!! Reminds me of my man and when we met. :))

  • I USED TO LISTEN TO THIS MUSIC IN THE BYGONE 80, IN URUGUAY, BUT DURING 20 YEARS I COULD´T KNOW WHO SANG IT. ONLY ON 2ND MAY 2009, THE DAY OF MY BIRTHDAY I DISCOVERED TH NAME OF THE MUSICIAN. I HAD A NEBULOUS IDEA OF SISTERS, BUT NOTHING ELSE. I LOVE THEM AND THE MUSIC BRINGS ME BACK MEMORIES OF MY YOUTH AND THE PLACE WHERE I USED TO WORK. 1000 THANKS POINTER SISTER. DOGOMAR, URUGUAIAN LIVING IN BRASIL.

  • Oh my freaking God... This song suits perfectly how I feel about someone who works at the Cafe Gratitude I go to on a regular. Today, they were on their lunch break and I built up the urge to approach them... Now, I can't get their big turquoise eyes out of my head.. Their pupils dilated to the max... Dilated eyes are one of my biggest weaknesses...

  • the other 9 people shouldn't listen this song cos they are not shy at all...

  • Fond memories of them singing this live at Stage West in West Hartford, CT in 1980 when I was just 18. When they played this all the gay guys just jumped up and started dancing away and the Sisters loved them for it.

  • @VanillaCupcake91 Yes. i did was them. yep. just hurry up and dry them aye?? Hahaha!

  • I love this song, every time I hear it, I sing along. The girls used to sing this to me when we were in 3rd grade. I was the shyest boy in school, I couldn't make eye contact with a girl until the 7th grade. When I was 7, there was a college girl next door to us. Whenever I was outside with my brother and sister and she came home, they would lock me out. She would chase me around because she thought it was cute. Now I wish I knew where she was, as far as I can remember, she was hot.

  • 9 rude ppl!these r the classics... :P

  • i remember cleaning the house on a beautiful sunny day? and this always came on the radio? i would always turn it up and pretend the broom was a mic? i would dance around the kitchen pretending i was singing this?lmao!! omg i feel so old now? lol

  • Reminds me of growing up in L.A, near Dodgers stadioum!! Those where the days!!

  • & so good looking!

  • HoboGus what about extremely good looking, confident, sensitive and treats his mom like a flower??

  • @hemulinkulli That combination doesn't exist.

  • @Ocelot04 Oh yes it does..I might add extremely good sense of humour!!

  • @hemulinkulli Is probably gay. Or hiding something.

  • Why can't they make good stuff like this today? I'm so glad I was born 1980!

  • @watchensee Because "video killed the radio star"....

  • Women have become very shallow sense the 1990`s.

  • @shay75100 - only matching where men have set the bar...

  • @FredericaBimble Typical two wrongs make it right.

  • @shay75100 well "some" women have always had shallowness no matter what era, but women today just wear that shallowness as their main face. and thanks to the BS in the entertainment and media shallowness has become the norm and unfortunately the norm..

  • A great and nostalgic video from my teenage and high school years. A fantastic hit by the great Pointer Sisters!

  • This has to be one of the sweetest songs ever recorded. I'm so glad I was a teen in this era. This song got a lot of airplay, and every time I heard it, it put me in a buoyant mood. Still does :-)

  • @MeredithWaters Yes, I agree with you 100% here! I too was a teen,15 to be exact, and this song always was very uplifting. I heard this song on the radio almost every day indeed. It certainly dominated the airwaves in many respects. It was one I never got tired of hearing and I still don't! My alltime favorite number one hit by them!

  • thank you for the upload ,even this song is about a man,but i love the music of the pointer sisters ,this was still real music so thx

  • Ah, there is still a few of us "shy guys" out there, however, I was brought up to feel as if it was a "problem" that would hold me back and never be a part of society. I was always made to feel like something was wrong with me, being shy and quiet. But now, as I'm older and have brushed away those who kept whispering their own insecurities, I've accepted who I am and have respect and love for myself. I'll wear my "shy guy" tag with pride.

  • they were just in birmingham, AL last night i saw that show

  • LOL. This song sounds like "She's on fire" from scarface soundtrack.

  • Hey Ms Aussie83 much the same for me and I love my now wife with all my heart!

  • Remember Ladies, never judge a book it's cover. They best guys are always the shy ones. What to see how he treats his mother, thats the best clue as to how he'll treat you. Watch out for the good- looking aggressive types they'll only bring you trouble and heart break.

  • @HoboGus

    boy you got that right

  • @HoboGus 59 are women who will never take your advice

  • @HoboGus agreed! =)

  • @HoboGus Wise comment ... I've never understood what some women find so attractive in the "bad boy" type ...

  • @HoboGus I am a shy one.

  • @HoboGus On the other side of the coin is the quiet girl who's 'like a sister' to you but dreams of being so much more. She won't though--she wouldn't make a move and try to compete with the twiggy blonde bimbo she knows you have your eye on.

  • @HoboGus

    what crock

  • i met a guy last week he is shy and not tall at all but man hey is so sweet. i look't up this song the moment i was home!

  • good sond my folks..

    Saludos Loreto-Peru

  • Can kinda relate to this one. I am 31, and met a guy on Monday at the local pub. He's only 5"6 and I'm 5"4. He is a shy guy, my bff says he reminds her of one of my exes that was very very sweet! and when it says "that sweet little boy who caught my eye" makes me think about now. Already hung out with him twice since then, I am hoping for a third!

  • she so fly

  • Man this track makes me so fucking happy! Makes a shy guy like me feel invincible.

  • This song captivates my heart & how I had this strong attraction with this guy that would just gives me eye contact & warm smiles!!!

  • love funky keyboard brakedown at the end

  • LOVE IT!

  • @rocknnunez Your high school years sound so fun....I wonder how it'd be if You two met again....: )

  • these ladies could sing the sports section and have you bopping your head...Pointer sisters didn't fuck around in the 80's...RIP June

  • first time i heard the pointer sisters i was about 3 it was 4 of them at the time..the song was yes we can can

  • @popetzm I clicked the wrong button, (down) the Pointers were something else. We have lost real good music!

  • first time i heard of the pointer sisters it was 4 of them..they had a hit i know we can make it

  • They created magic...they crossed the color lines...they had incredible talent...what a great family of sisters.

  • @siciliansummer Color line? wtf

  • @Clayomayo Yes, the barriers that restricted black America from white America, which permeated the US especially during the time The Pointer Sisters recorded this song.

  • @siciliansummer Sorry for being rude. But being born and raised in Detroit, growing up in Motown while Motown was growing up, witnessing the Detroit riots in 1967, in comparison to the Pointer Sister's is what I should have said. Just meant that the Pointers didn't struggle nearly as much as those who went before them and really broke down the barriers to make it better for those to come later, like in the 70's. I apologize.

  • @Clayomayo No worries. I appreciate your comments, especially since people tend to prefer arguing versus speaking like adults. Again, very nice of you to reply with respect and intelligence.

  • If you can't jam to this....you just ain't right! Great tune.

  • This song puts me at the skating rink in Hampton. 11pm to 2am smiling.

  • don't be so shure, i'm used to be very shy, althought i like to be with ALL pretty girls

  • Ahh...classic song.

  • RIP June, we love you!

  • Not shy just somewhat passive..smiless

  • I remember when they sang this on the Love Boat. Isaac did a dance number to the song.

  • These sisters rock......i miss good music...most of it sucks today

  • @Jacobrester So true.

  • Awesome 70s! I am a teen searching for GREAT 70s music, but I wish I was a teen back then so I could enjoy the music and get a list without trying so hard going through radio and crap.

    Any suggestions for easier way?

  • @GiaJ1 Go to the Billboard Top 100 lists for every year through the seventies and eighties to scour for great songs! :-) P.S.-"He's So Shy" came out in 1980.

  • @GiaJ1 Google!

  • Juuuuuune!!!

  • these ladies had about 6 or 7 big hits in the 70's and 80's......I would definitely pay good money to watch them in concert..........I forgot how good they were

  • I was blown away when I saw on A bio show that one of the pointer sisters "had A pointer" and the others were sisters. that's right, One of these ladies is A guy! ..now I'm sitting here, scratching my head and listening to voices, trying to tell which one. well good luck cause they all look like ladies, no Adam's apple or anything! I can hear the girls now, "Oh honey, Don't you worry now, Ain't nobody gonna know! and sure as hell I never did till I saw the show. I still almost don't believe it.

  • @bigfootskitty pull the other one pal

  • @bigfootskitty Okay, let's not be stupid here. None of the Pointer Sisters was a guy.

  • I LOVE these girls music, & it reminds me when I was a shorty I used 2 do my dance stuping up & down

  • One of the great bands of the 80s and still love their sound today.

  • These ladies had some great tunes......i used to love this song

  • This song brings back good memories of the 80's. I was with my mom & grandma back then in a Roses store and this was playing over the intercom. Man, the memories of those days. lol It's funny what you remember in the back of your mind, things that'll stick with you. This is one song i RARELY hear played over the radio or on Sirius XM radio for all that goes.

  • makes me think of someone special

  • so hot

  • Love all their songs!

  • late at night just before we go to bed . sweet dreams

  • he's so shy! these sisters are great sisters!

  • luv this song!!! back i in the 80"s those beautiful HIGH SCHOOL day's ... i like this guy for4 years but, i was sooooo shyyyyyyy never had the courage to talk to him at all :( we graduated without him knowing how i felt about him !!!! up till this day 25 years later i think about him and what would had happen if i told him how i felt? :(
