Fond memories of them singing this live at Stage West in West Hartford, CT in 1980 when I was just 18. When they played this all the gay guys just jumped up and started dancing away and the Sisters loved them for it.
I love this song, every time I hear it, I sing along. The girls used to sing this to me when we were in 3rd grade. I was the shyest boy in school, I couldn't make eye contact with a girl until the 7th grade. When I was 7, there was a college girl next door to us. Whenever I was outside with my brother and sister and she came home, they would lock me out. She would chase me around because she thought it was cute. Now I wish I knew where she was, as far as I can remember, she was hot.

But being born and raised in Detroit, growing up in Motown while Motown was growing up, witnessing the Detroit riots in 1967, in comparison to the Pointer Sister's is what I should have said. Just meant that the Pointers didn't struggle nearly as much as those who went before them and really broke down the barriers to make it better for those to come later, like in the 70's. I apologize.

This song brings back good memories of the 80's. I was with my mom & grandma back then in a Roses store and this was playing over the intercom. Man, the memories of those days. lol It's funny what you remember in the back of your mind, things that'll stick with you. @GiaJ1 Go to the Billboard Top 100 lists for every year through the seventies and eighties to scour for great songs! :-) P.S.-"He's So Shy" came out in 1980.

these ladies had about 6 or 7 big hits in the 70's and 80's......I would definitely pay good money to watch them in concert..........I forgot how good they were

I was blown away when I saw on A bio show that one of the pointer sisters "had A pointer" and the others were sisters. that's right, One of these ladies is A guy! ..now I'm sitting here, scratching my head and listening to voices, trying to tell which one. well good luck cause they all look like ladies, no Adam's apple or anything! I can hear the girls now, "Oh honey, Don't you worry now, Ain't nobody gonna know!" and sure as hell I never did till I saw the show. I still almost don't believe it.

This song brings back good memories of the 80's. I was with my mom & grandma back then in a Roses store and this was playing over the intercom. Man, the memories of those days. lol It's funny what you remember in the back of your mind, things that'll stick with you. This is one song i RARELY hear played over the radio or on Sirius XM radio for all that goes.

luv this song!!! back i in the 80"s those beautiful HIGH SCHOOL day's ... i like this guy for4 years but, i was sooooo shyyyyyyy never had the courage to talk to him at all :( we graduated without him knowing how i felt about him !!!! up till this day 25 years later i think about him and what would had happen if i told him how i felt? :(
