hey david if u dont have a fly rod could u use a light long rod to cast with . and put a small split shot on the flies. to get them were u want to on the water. from mark.
gotta tell ya dave, our patterns are way different. Normally I'll use a copper john or griffiths gnat and be pretty successful.. but Im trying to make my box alittle bit of a variety, and your patterns definately make it there! Thanks and keep tying!
dave love the videos you post. Dave what are your top ten flies that you would not be without for a season of river fishing? looking forward to hearing yuor answer.thanks again.
The most common cause of fraying is rough finger nails, rough skin on your fingers and catching the thread on the hook point in the vice.....bury it in the vice head.
Think you hit the proverbial nail on the head! Years of handling ropes as a seaman hasn't done any good for my hands.I'll try a bit of my misus handcream and see if it helps. Have a great trip to NZ and tighlines..

Hi Basemix
Thanks for your comments. much appreciated.
We will keep them coming but they do take time paricularly in the editting. I am off to NZ for a month soon so things may slow down for a while.

Thanks Mr Cammiss,
Great tie as usual, what size thread do you use on this? Will 6/0 do? Do you have any tips to prevent thread fraying?
