well only the look & feel was copied, inside it remains the beautifull reliable LINUX kernel. The intention was to make it easier & user friendlier to new linux users used to the vista look & feel & interface, Nothing else.
I dont agree, linux has many advantages such as price and performance. At the moment maybe some features are difficult to accomplish by the common user but this is fading out by every minute. In anther perspective in the future, desktops will be substituted by a single flat cable that brings us not only network but also S.O. and storage, all over linux servers maybe with virtual machines.
windows has 100% compatibility with windows & directx apps, vista has 75% compatibility with windows & directx apps, linux and many other distributions have 10% compatibily with windows & directx apps. so until linux can reach 100% compatibily without the use of dumb prorams like WINE or VMWARE then its not gonna be popular as windows.
I'm using Linux Ubuntu 8.04 from over a year, so i can tell you that
1Linux don't need directx
2Linux don't need Windows programs
3Linux is 100% compatible with all the Formats of the Win programs.
If the point is that the Vixta is a copy of Vista interface, i can't reply, but saying that all Linux pruducts are crap, is really NOT true.
Try the live of Ubuntu, remind that being a live , it seems almost simple in the feeling, but you have a lot of video showing how it is after installation.
Sim e o kde 3 esse video já está desactualizado, esta foi a primeira release do vixta, entretanto já saiu o vixta 3d. Esta distribuição é baseada em fedora, por isso os pacotes são .rpm.
Can not happen. A linux OS that can play window's app's AND LOOK like vista (PS i have vista :D) Would be good, BUT microsoft would not like it, if you know what i meen.
yes I do... Of course.. Well I'm with Vista already and It's not looking so... right like vista.. :) But is good compromise for those, who are using linux.. and like linux :) I don't :S Sorry (",)
