I am curious. Not sure exactly how US law works. But to establish someone as "a taxpayer under US federal law", why the heck do you need a "witness"?? Doesn't the tax legislation define what this is so that anyone can interpret it (ahem the lawyer) and appeal to the judge?

So, someone sent the IRS a copy of 1099s on this guy, and he didn't report the income on his tax return, and the IRS wants to use that against him, but the IRS doesn't want to say who the issuer(s) of the 1099 income statements was/were?

The defense attorney should have the right to subpoena the companies or people who can testify that this man worked for them and they paid him that money in those years.

@texme No, I study law first hand. I use the system against itself. The problem with guys like Marc is that they do not understand how business entities are formed and their relationships with those entities. People who lend trusts consciousness and physical capacity have corporate immunity from trust as long as said person does not commit fraud. This is because they probably did not study law enough. The real solution is education, check out teamlaw(dot)org and read patriot myth 22

@texme I do not care what someone has to say about contracts. If I want to learn anything about law including contract law, I will go to a law library not someones youtube channel. Besides, I already studied contract law and trust law. I have also studied the tax code but it is incomprehensible. Trusts are business entities. They are not people. SSNs identify trusts due to the fact the SSA reserves ownership of the SSC when they offer a person to hold it for them until they request it back.
