  • 5:43 is that a turkey crossing the line?

  • I'd love to see ALP-45DP's on the Chicago Electric so they can extend service

  • I would love to see more lines in chicago electrified. Which one would most likely be electrified?

  • What is in the big green thing on the platform?

  • @buddybuddy0920 I think it is used to hold salt for melting ice and snow off the plateforms.

  • That first NS consist was awesome with the SD unit in the lash-up

  • Sweet video. Love the fact that it's in the rain too. Do you protect your camera from the rain with anything?

  • I watched this again, there aren`t to many videos on you tube of Metra electric and the South Shore. I used to go to Kensington to shoot stills a lot. I haven`t been there in a while.

  • I'm surprised they haven't rebuilt the platforms!

  • @skinnyshit8888 Me too. I guess they are saving money for other projects like adding more Metra routes on other rail lines.

Metra Electric is also adding new passenger cars on the Metra Electric lines

  • Like that shot from the ground looking up at 5:50. Also the next one of the CSS&SB coming around the curve onto the IC elecric.

  • What is the frequencies over here lol. I never could get anything and there is always a lot of CN since this is there line. You may have caught the Saluki and New Orleans Amtrak..GOOD CATCHES!

  • any horn from the metra trains?

  • @moonoink It's very rare for them to. But if you ask they sometimes will.

  • I really liked seeing some recent videos of Metra electric and South Shore line. At 5:42 some kind of animal ran across the tracks, I`m guessing a fox it`s kind of hard to tell.

  • @quimbyt Most likely a cat or a possum. My grandmother lives on this block and basically there are a lot of stray cats and possums everywhere. When I went railfanning I saw a possum get run over. I have it on my railfanning video.

  • @Jabbajawz4life Couldn`t be an opossum their tails aren`t bushy enough, in fact their tails don`t have hair. It went by to fast, could a cat. I live around Aurora/Oswego and see a lot of foxes. Foxes have real bushy tails. I only saw the tail as it went by.

  • @quimbyt Yeah as I look at it more I see it was a fox! Yeah we don't really see a lot of foxes here in the city. WOW When I go up to the tracks I need to make sure they don't attack me lol.

  • @Jabbajawz4life Unless they have rabies, foxes most likely wont attack you. 10 years ago in Aurora I went top see a doctor at Dryer clinic by Rt 31. When I came out I saw a fox walking across an open field, the fox saw me and followed me to the bus stop. The bus stop is next to a strip mall, as I sat there the fox sat down and watched me until the bus came. With all those cars and people around that fox just sat and watched me. I laugh when I think about it.

  • @quimbyt lol I think the fox is nosy too lol.

  • @quimbyt Looks like a cat to me

  • What street was this at? I railfan at 83rd.

  • @Jabbajawz4life most shots were at 107th Street Station and the last few were at Kensington Junction/115th Street.

  • @BoxcarFrank Wow right next to my g-ma and g-pa. When did you film these?

  • Rare, but I liked!!!

  • That was so un-BoxcarFrank like. Hmm... Interesting change.
