Vande Mataram was the song during the freedom movement against the British Raj! it's extracted from Anandamath which is further inspired by the book Uncle Tom's Cabin written by Harriet Beecher Stowe during the civil rights movement in America. It is a song in praise of the mother ( land) and has a version titled Tasleemat, maan tasleemat written by Arif Mohammad Khan. Its genesis is freedom from slavery in the case of black plantation workers, and in the case of Indians against British rule

arya Samaj doesn`t follow the idol worship but still its the part of Hinduism anyone can sing Vandematram what does Vande Mataram means "I bow to thee, Mother") mother means motherland the land which gave u everything and motherland is greater than any religion i also go to gurudwara also participated in gurudwara construction in my area like it or not bharat mata is every indian mata even one of my cousin married to a sikh i am saini majority of saini are sikh in punjab .
