If you are going to butcher a masterpiece then why not just do your own work and say "based on The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis" instead of taking such literary art work and defacing it with your own so called artistic flair! Susan and Caspian NEVER, i repeat NEVER were even remotely an item in the book!! The director takes far to many liberties in the making of these films. I cannot say I will be watching any more of them and sincerely hope no more will be made.

@Amber81M Who ever said the movies had to be exactly like the book? Most movies are never exactly like the books & its a way to see it in a new light. When u read a book you are given liberties to visualize how the characters look & act & often our interpretations may have been completely the opposite of what the author intended. C.S. Lewis's estate oversees all the movies so if they felt like there was something in the movie that wasn't up to legacy, they would have not let it be in the movie.

@edc2i There is no real way to get all of the detail and intricate thought processes from a book into a film with complete accuracy. However it is very possible to stay true to the descriptions, dialogs, and dynamics of the author. The Lord of the Rings trilogy is an excellent example. Also the C.S. Lewis estate is not the author himself. The changes may not have bothered the man, but having read a good deal of his works outside the Chronicles I am lead to believe otherwise.

@edc2i Still and all, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I will say that there are a great many books out there that, if they were ever to be translated to film, could use some drastic improvement. I am of the opinion that great literary works should be presented in as true a form to the writing as possible. If you enjoyed it though, then I am glad for you. I do like that you can articulate an opposing view so well. I would have relished opposing you on a debate team. Ciao!

@Amber81M Yeah, I agree. When you read C.S. Lewis' books you can really tell he wrote them with kids in mind, not in a condescending way, but not bogged down with unnecessary romances or violence. And in the books, for every serious scene involving good/evil, you get a more lighthearted scene with the true beauty of Narnia. The films abandoned that, which was really disappointing for me.

i love the ending!!!!!!!! in a sad yet sweet way. i kinda wish that they put in our heads that susan and caspian are together for a moment. this just makes me hate any other girl who's gonna "steal" caspian from susan.

@theghosthunter2 in the last book, THE LAST BATTLE, all characters come back but susan. and all 7 books are going to be made into movies. the only reason susan doesnt come back is beacuse she became materialistic and impure after moving to america. so the author of the book hated that in real life so he decided to throw it into susan. BUT im hoping they change the ending where susan does end up with everyone again

on the fifth book or third movie. (the voyage of the dawn treader) prince caspian married a lady named ramamdu. he moved on when susan left. :( i think susan and caspian is a good couple. :( susan likes caspian. caspian likes susan :)
