  • Can you play it without an amp?

  • is it just me or the audio out of sync?? o.O

  • Great, honest review.

  • What was the song you were playing on the folk twelve string setting? I recognise it but quite quite remember what it is...

  • hey nice playing. i have that guitar! how did you do the bass thing?

  • @cowboy51256 that guitar got a exaphonic piezo system, which allows to program, for example, the two lower strings only with an octaver or any other grade of pitch shifting.

  • So why are you selling it?

  • I have a question. How was the action on yours? I like to do a lot of tap style acoustic and being able to custom tune on the fly is intriguing.

  • Cool! You inspired me to break mine out and work with it again.

    Dave

  • Hey man, nice playing. Is the line you played at around 5:40 (nylon) something you wrote? Because it sounds so familiar but I can't place it...

  • it was some hiphop song from about 3 or 4 years ago. never knew what it was called. i learned the riff for a friend.

  • "just can't let you go" by fabolous. I thought it was cool when I saw this video, stole it from your vid, and played it one night and my buddy told me what song it was.

  • its a fabolous song

  • OK serious question, what amp are you using? I have a few amps but none of 'em make my variaxe 700 sound that good.

  • no amp at all. just straight into the sound board with a mixer

  • Can u play it without strings?

  • and how would you do that?

  • lmao how can u play a guitar without string? hahaha ur funny men ^_^

  • awesome guitar and great playing too, I am buying one of these after xmas, can't wait. take it easy.

  • how much u want 4 it?

  • Can you use it without an amp?

  • dude...

  • If Line6 were fair they would give you an endorsement deal & a 700Ac. for free to replace the one you had to sell! Great playing, instructive vid - 5 stars!

  • Brian,

Thank you soooo much for showing your talents. From a Beginning guitarist ! G.

  • Holy poop on a stick! You look just like Seth McFarlane, creator of Family Guy, lol...giggety

  • the variax acoustic 700's too overpriced.completely unusable in the studio, unless you want an unusual sounding guitar tone.can't replace a traditional miked acoustic guitar sound.the electric version is a must-have tho.

  • but its great for live use.....and its fun;)

  • I don´t agree. Are you sure you talking about serious recording? These guitars are absolutely good enough for excellent recording. I have seen much thing worst than this making huge success around.

  • awesome sound!

I am considering buying the 700 electric version. Any advice?

  • Don't sell. Keep it. You sound great with it!

  • Just picked one up at GC last night for a killer deal. And I get the workbench acoustic free by mail.

  • Awesome, I miss mine

  • nice video, thanks - I'm thinking about buying the 700 new so its good to hear it live - got to get my music store to get one in for me to try out tho...

  • Hello, please Where are you from?

Do you want to buy this guitar?

    How much?

  • very cool...

  • dude, nice video !! would be nice to see more, thanks! :)

  • Thank you for this video!

  • Are you selling this or did you sell already?

  • SOLD, sorry!

  • aww, look, its the girl who cusses too much and is mean to her dog...just watch her videos

  • Lawl. Nice playing, man. I would never buy one of these though, to be honest. I prefer the more organic sound of a big, full-bodied dreadnought.

    Thanks.

  • it sounds more organic and bigger than a full bodied dreadnought...and this is coming from an audiophile...

  • Yeah well, it's not as ''authentic'' as I'd like ... :P

  • dig!

  • u wouldnt be able to tell if u just got to HEAR the sounds!

  • Pretty good demo video.

What level of sound does it produce unplugged/unpowered. Anything at all?

  • about the same as an electric, its a solid body......

  • Thanks for this video, it was really informative! But may I ask why you sold it?

  • i was desperate for a touchguitar...see my other videos

  • Great video. You answered all my questions. Thanks alot.

  • the nice thing with the line 6 thingies though, that multi-fx pedals can´t do with sound shaping, is that this does the processing and stuff to each individual string separately... so the quality is alot more consistent...

  • I have a black variax and love it. I use it in my live performances and on my youtube videos. Check them out :-)

  • great video! it sounds very good.. i still am amazed at how flawless the tracking is on these variax guitars.. the acoustic guitar in particular is great

  • its not tracking...its shaping the sound coming from the regular piezo pickup....only flaw is a very slight delay.this technology is really cool, i believe the new fishman pedals use the same technology...sound shaping....

  • These things have delay? Do you know if the 300 models have delay as well? I'm planning to get a Variax 300 Nylon, and it would be a bummer if it had delay..

  • it's very very small, hardly noticable, but i can....i still love the thing, you should go play one at a store befor eyou buy it, and im sure the 300 may nit have it..

  • Ahh, okay. As long as you don't have to calculate when you have to play when playing live with a band :P

I played a 300 nylon model at the guitar store some days ago, but I was in quite a hurry, couldn't really test it, but it sounded pretty good.

  • so there is a latency , like a milisecond of space between when you touch and when the sound processes and comes out the speaker ? thats a drag

  • it may or may not be a drag, all depends on your playing style...sometimes you cant really tell..other times, if your very percussive and in the pocket, it can be noticeable. The benefits outweight the negative

  • Killer demo!

  • Brilliant demo, Line 6 should pay you for this vid! I wanted to hear this guitar before buying one (trading for one really), and you've handled everything possible about it, alot to think about for an electric guitarist like me... Thanks!

  • w000t i already have one ^_^

  • love it =)
