Check out the application 'Creepy'. You can look up in any flickr or twitter username and it compiles a list of geotagging info from all tweets/photos and then combines it with google maps. It's creepy.
The EU is bringing in law to allow users to permanently delete your account so technically the french law shouldn't be an issue so long as you delete your accounts on french servers.
@MrQarsim Yeah the issue is that very rarely do companies or countries actually comply with eu law. Hell Microsoft issually just pays massive fines to keep market share
