This game uses the same engine as B-Wings, another obscure shoot 'em up game from Data East released in 1984. Both games were programmed by Akira Sakuma, who used a Millennium 95085 Microsystem Emulator to program the game.
That said, this game looks like a much better game than B-wings IMO.
