  • CAN you publish New vid please im really addict to This bird and your conversation, every morning i watch and laugh, it make my day ! :) thanks and publish New vid please ;)

  • @tomadelec I am trying to make time... I promise to make it a priority soon

  • So cute....;)

  • What a lovely relationship you have with this bird. You have taught him so well and obviously spent a lot of time loving him. He sounds exactly like you, in diction and accent! I particularly love the way he says 'BUBBLE BATHHH!" So cute! Thanks for sharing this.

  • @kickchick1974 Thank you so much for seeing beyond just the words as you are right he is loved and has tons of attention and care. I'm glad you enjoyed the video

  • I want to eat some Pa-Pa-YAAAAAH!

  • @vonBelfry Exactly and he tells me this every morning

  • Are they nice and gentle?

  • @xHappyJello Kaleo is sweet yet the day he decided to take over the bathroom cupboard to make a nest he showed he can be very territorial. As much as I love him I do not think this is an easy bird. They are wild where I live and illegal to own. He was rescued at@ 3 days and could not be released into the wild because of a bad leg. He is part of the family and I love him dearly but is a huge commitment.. Needs lots of one on one

  • @xHappyJello Kaleo is nice but the day he took over the bathroom cabinet to make a nest he showed a territorial not so nice side..haha

I love him but he is a handful..a huge commitment. Best to leave in the wild. He was a rescue that could not be released due to a bad leg. He is very much family and I wouldn't trade him for anything.. I just don't want my videos to encourage people to try and have one for a pet

  • ''you're so cute

  • She is misunderstanding him.. He's not saying "You're soaked" he's saying "You're so cute".

  • @pumazpawz Actually he says both phrases

  • I love it when he says "youre so cuuute" :)

  • I can't get over how cute Kaleo is. I watched his videos countless times. Please give him a kiss from me, will you? Bubble bash :)

  • @elfenger Thanks for your comment and am glad you have enjoyed the videos I will blow him a kiss for you.. he actually kisses back

  • Beautiful pose the mynah bird too! You are both incredible.

  • Cutest thing I have ever seen! the Mynah bird isn't bad either!

Brings a smile to my face and makes me think if chickens talked, we wouldnt eat them!

  • This is blowing my mind!!

  • Hi. . . .just curious, what island do you live on? I'm on Oahu and just rescued a week-ish old mynah. Wondering what tips you can give me for keeping him alive? We're doing the soaked cat food thing. Is that what you did?

  • @jeylan515 I am so sorry for not seeing this sooner...were you able to raise your Mynah? I used a glass dropper to give him a formula of Exact (found at a feed store) mixed with pureed papaya..lots of love and attention. Wanted to release him but he had a bad leg. I hope you were able to find helpful information..

  • amazing

  • you're sho kkkute. i take a bobbo bash? you're sho shwweet. :D

we're considering teaching a few mynah birds we have to talk!

  • You're so cute!

  • Love these birds! i just moved to Hawaii and you see these birds everywhere, I love to stop and watch them. Each one has a unique personality, awesome birds!

  • @ajr2006... I agree.Glad I rescued Kaleo but was sad for him he had a bad leg.. I think he is pretty happy though under the circumstances ...best to be left to be wild if at all possible

  • more videos pleaseeeeee

  • Thank you soooo much for the incredible joy your little Kaleo brings me and all those who watch both of you on You-tube! I play the two of you over and over! Little Kaleo fills a Hole in my heart, after losing my beloved ToopToop, whom I loved for 11 years, just 2 months ago, in Brisbane, Australia, He was the exact same species as Kaleo, and could say, 'Hello, coming to catch you', or 'Eeky Cheeky Beeky, Weeky O' and lots of little intonations picked up on the Radio- love Gail and tToop.xx

  • @ceilao1 Thanks for your post... I am sorry to hear of your loss but I am glad you were able to share in the experience of getting to know one of these intelligent birds. I have heard many people in Australia consider them as pests.. so sad

  • He sounds like a mechanical goblin or troll! ;-)

  • does the dog try to eat it?

  • @mshk1989 No I have taught my dogs to get along.... one of my corgis raised an orphaned chicken so they are awesome with the rescues we help

  • really incredible... awesome...

  • What an amazing bird! And it's amazing how he understands you and like you mention, it's not just mimicking.

  • she's hot

  • I love it when after he says womething he bends down like a bird toy which dips its wooden beak into a galss of water. XD

  • wow what a blessing you have!

  • This is amazinig........

  • "Wanna take a bubble bash?"

    So darn cute. xD

  • I love Kaleo,,,,,but where's Jack?? :)

  • can you give me some tips on how to teach a myna bird to talk,i have one young mynah right now and i really want him to talk...his name is martin a 1month old baby myna

  • Wow! I had no idea these birds were so clever, or that they are so widespread. (They are vermin here in Australia). Regardless, I've never seen a bird say so many different phrases - you are obviously gifted when it comes to training. You should share your technique! Oh and pls post a vid of him having bubble barfsh ;)

  • cute is he a common or greater indian hills mynah? or is he another kind?

  • @crawlingchaos76 Looks like the common mynah (Acridotheres tristis) which is an introduced, feral, species in Hawaii.

  • OH My Gosh!!! This Bird is the CUTEST Mynah on You Tube!!! I want one so bad; I had cockatiels as a child but I've wanted a Mynah since I was little!!! Too bad I don't think I could ever find one in Missouri... Anyway, can't wait to see more of Kaleo!!!

  • I'm on Maui with a Mynah I found in my front yard that was around a month old and she talks to, looks and acts like yours, rocking the head back and forth and getting all fluffed up when talking.

Ours is like such a kid following us everywhere we walk around the house and always wanting to be involved in everything you do.

    These birds are amazing!

  • What an amazing bird!

  • i love this sooooooooo much!!!!!!! is it easy to teach him to speak?

  • When I rescued him I was aware they could talk. I intended to release him into the wild but when I realized something was wrong with his foot I figured I might have to keep him. At that point I talked to him all the time.I selected certain phrases I wanted him to learn & he started picking things up quickly the first 2 years. He has also made up his own phrases. They are so intelligent & sensitive. A BIG commitment. Not a bird to spend its life in a cage.He has become a family member.. free to fly

  • @cmhhawaii Your Kaleo is Adorable, and it's so obvious he loves you to bits!- His eyes say it all! I'm wrapped in his accent- it is too cute and so sweet.. his 'Bubble Bashhh', 'I dove you', Papayyahh, and everything else-can you show him taking a bath in the doggie dish?-I just can't wipe the smile off my face when he's on, and does he make me laugh! Kaleo, "I, I don't know Vy I love u, but I do!"..Gail and Fred xxxooo-thank you, cmhhawaii x

  • We had Rajesh, a myna, for about a year. She loved bathing in a small tub of fresh water, even when it was cold. She also liked cheese and papaya, but not bananas. Citrus is bad for mynas because vit c causes too much iron to be absorbed (advice from a vet friend). We tried to teach her "me Rajesh, me cute" but apparently males talk better than females. She was free flying and flew off with a "boyfriend" we think. She went on holiday with us and was part of our wedding photographs!!!

  • Love your story... Kaleo loves Papaya too. Also grapes, blueberries, cherries, brown rice..Oats ..however Myna pellets are his main food... He loves to bath every afternoon in the dogs dish... Can't seem to get him interested in any other dish:-) He is also free flying.. he went to the park 2 times but after one cold night he decided to hang in the house with his "family"

  • @youngsymes i love all these good stories about these birds but in Sydney they kill baby birds and kick other birds out of nests, but that doesn't make me hate them.. they were introduced here a few years back but they aren't native here.

  • Love the accent. What dialect is the bird speaking. I have never heard that accent before.

  • I am not sure where you are from but he has learned from me and I am from the west coast of America.

In Hawaii we have a dialect called Pidgin (pronounced pigeon) Perhaps he has a bit of that along with his own little Myna twist.

  • @cmhhawaii

I was joking around because I didn't know that birds that talk could have a dialect. Because they just copy. Was trying to make a point that the bird had its own dialect other than the person it is mimicing. By the way it is hilarious. You ought to teach it some answers to questions. Or Have a seat take a load off. Would you take some notes please? Seat a place for me at the dinner table. That was so fun. I love this song. It sure is a beautiful day outside. Thank you.

  • LOL ok ... I get so many comments from around the world I didn't pick that up (I must be blond haha)

He does answer questions ...we are trying to get more videos to show his intelligence..He is such a character

  • This is so much fun to watch. It transported me to a lovely tropical island (from cold Belgium). I wish I could live in Hawaii.

    Looking forward to more conversations.

  • @hrithikamoremio

We are working on more videos... thank you for your comment

  • Amazing luvly myna, I wish I could hug her/him

  • AMAZING BIRD !! LOVED LISTENING TO HIM/HER post more plllllllllllllleeeeeeeaaaaaaaaassssseeee

  • I have not had time to put together all the videos we have but will promise to get some up this year

  • Your bird is such a crack up! We can't wait to see more video on your Mynah..makes us laugh!!!

  • Thank you..I hope to get more videos up this week... He is truly an amazing little fella..

  • cool

  • pl tell me how to train my bird!!i found the abondoned mynah baby yesterday!!

  • After a few days of hand feeding him we realized he had a broken foot/leg. Knowing I couldn't release him into the wild I talked to him everyday and repeated everything I was doing with him. They require LOTS of LOVE and PATIENCE and COMMITMENT...they can be feisty. They have to hear a voice from very early on. They relate words with action...when I go out he says Be right Back...when he is hungry he says I want some Papaya.

  • Aloha, I live in Hilo, I found a baby mynah bird once, but he didn't live. Did you get yours from a nest? How do you control the kukai (poop)? Love looking at your bird, aloha.

  • I rescued him late evening from the ground. He was featherless, cold, very little& hungry..fallen from his nest which was higher than i could see or reach. He ended up having a broken foot otherwise I would have eventually released him..best to let birds be free if possible. His BIG cage is for sleep & food, biggest meals in the morning & evening when he eats fruit i leave him in his cage for awhile. He has a few favorite spots he likes to rest on so it actually works out pretty well

  • It sounded like he was saying, your so cute, not your soaked.

  • I grew up in Hawaii Kai and we took care of a baby mynah who fell out of the nest - 'Maxi'(Max until she laid and egg):) learned to talk a little but not as much as Kaleo - he is so beautiful and it's amazing how he interacts with you. I live in NYC now and miss the mynah birds - we only have their cousins the starlings.

  • Your bird is just the absolute cutest thing. Thank you for sharing him with us! I have told all my friends about him! Is he still learning new words at a year old? I have heard that the ability stops at a certain age-do you know anything about that?

  • He continues to amaze us and yes he is still coming up with so many new things at a year and a half..His latest funniest saying is "I'm a little duck quack quack quack...yourrrr a chicken...

I have heard too they slow down in learning as they get older..however at this point he is still adding somethings to his already extensive vocabulary...thanks for your posting and sharing "Kaleo" with your friends. You can see all his videos at cmhhawaii on youtube if you haven't already

  • That really is awesome!

  • Just the best bird on youtube. Period. And seems to know more words than any of the others as well. What a cute voice!

  • thank you for your comment.

Kaleo continues to amaze us as he continues to increase his vocabulary....we should have more videos soon

  • i love your baby bird he is so cute!!!:D

  • Oh, my GAWD, I got SUCH a kick out of this video! "You're so CUUUUTE!". Congratulations on such s fine job on a beautiful intelligent creature. He sounds a bit like Mercedes Cambridge! Thank you so much for posting this.
