  • My father was in the Vietnam War. He was in the Navy during the war. He would ride along the rivers in Nam, on a PBR boat. He was part of a UDT. His spot was on the twin 50's. He is a great man along with all of the Vets that served in Nam.

  • My father was in RivDiv 533 PBR112

  • Wow, this video actually surprised me. My Old Man was involved with NavSpecOps since the late 1950's, and He, along with some of the Greatest individuals I have ever known, really pushed forth with the concept of Inshore/Coastal/Littoral Warfare Units. This slide show is the first time that I have actually seen photographs of the IUW Boats in Vietnam, so thanks for that!

My Old Man's last command was IUW Group 2 (In the NSN Area), before he retired in 1987 as a Captain (Brevet Rear Admiral).

  • My dad was in the navy during 70-71. In country, always talks about the YRBM-21. He is sick from vietnam related illnesses. They pumped in the agent orange laden water into the showers for the enlisted guys, and it is known to have made people ill later in life. I urge everyone to go the VA and put a claim in, he did, and nows he's considered 100%(also had hearing damage though from mortars) Any questions, drop me a line.

    thanks.

  • Wow- This was good. Thanks
