Have you considered reviewing a few chapters at a time? Like wait three weeks and take out three chapters a time. I agree that week by week, it can be tiring and boring.
I know a lot of people hated the flashback in Naruto in this chapter and keep saying it didn't explain anything, but it did if you think about it. It explained that the crossed fingers thing was the symbol of harmony and now it adds a new element to Naruto and Sasuke's fight in the valley of kings (I think it was called) and why they made thats symbol of harmony at the end of it. So maybe that hints that Sasukes still cares about his friendship with Naruto deep down or maybe I'm overthinking it

You might want to reread one piece there were some translation errors. Also Jinbe was the one that said don't kill anyone not the crew. And you kinda skipped Otohime's speech but all and all the chapter was still really lack luster. Just saying I think you could of handled this review better.

The problem with that though is that eventually Oda will run out of steam, and when that happens, the manga will suffer for it. Now sure, there are many other, much longer, ongoing series, but they aren't done in the same way that One Piece is. Bleach is a perfect example of a good manga gone bad because it's too damn long. I'm not saying the same will happen to One Piece, but I'm not ignoring that fact that it's a possibility either. One Piece deserves to end on a high note.

@MegaSenbonsakura He does. It's not that Kishimoto doesn't have the talent it's that he seems to rush instead of taking his time on things Kubo is the same way Oda seems to be doing the complete opposite which is why One Piece is still good.

@MegaSenbonsakura People can go suck a dick and grow the fuck up. Writing something takes time you can't rush it same as you can't rush someone writing a book just cause you want it out sooner. This is why I believe Bleach and Naruto fail cause Oda seems to take his time to make everything perfect enough before putting it out he's not rushing he's taking his time rushing only leads to failure taking ones time allows the story to develop.

and yes I understand oda may persue the kizaru/arlong deal later, although building up to it the way he did and then ignoring it completley was such a let down. At least hint at it this chapter to keep us the readers intrigued...
But I disagree with the otohime part, yes she is a little obnoxious, but I think that comes from desperation. She yearns for equality and I think she is quite noble and for me her death will be sad.

I loved the one piece review, because you spoke the truth. So many people never discredit One Piece because of what Oda has done in the past, yet this latest chapter was terrible.
I too was hoping Oda would develop something really creative with the whole kizaru thing he set up last chapter, and none of that happened. He chose the easy, lazy, crappy way out. I hope the next chapter develops on these ideas or is more creative, because I was very dissapointed this week round.

hey, i enjoy your videos but i think that you are missing a point on the flashbacks. remember that these chapters are released in weekly magazine, which means there are constantly new readers. how can readers new to one piece/naruto understand the chapter without knowing what happened before? yes they can go read the volumes, but only if they interested in what they see in the mag.if they think the chapter is confusing, they may think the whole series is confusing, and not buy the volume:)
Arlong was a punk. The fact that he not only lied about the Fisher Tiger issue, but also the fact he just grew worser than he originally is, is proof of that. While I can agree about Jinbei to a certain extant, at least he and some others didn't follow the "revenge" crap like other characters have. The only good thing about the Naruto chapter was the Kyuubi talking to Naruto, and actually called Naruto on the crap he's doing. Both chapters were a dissappointment, though.

What are his true intentions"- this comment at the end of OP 623 shows us that Kizaru has some intriguing secrets. Im predicting a future flashback to come later. Also when in OP has Oda drew a flashback that hasnt taught us something new? Queen Otohime will be killed as a result of a Tenyruubito incident it looks like. The dramatic death of the queen will be good.

Sorry Larry...I think you are criticizing the belief systems of the characters more than you are criticizing the actual characterization. The entire grievance about "lets not kill anyone" is weak. I think your rage at the mediocre titles is starting to bleed at parts that dont deserve criticism. Queen Otohime. I'm not too bothered by her. Yes she is obnoxious but I thinks it her way of expressing her frustration with the failing race relations. Imo this chapter is a build up for something great.

The end of the One Piece chapter was actually pretty interesting if you've seen The Sabaody Archipelago arc, because the damaged ship had Tenryuubito(Celestial Dargons) on it, and the celestial dragons are "Slave Owners" who treat EVERYONE like Shit.
Besides the big 3, a lot of other manga's stories have been slowing down such as Skip Beat. Hitman Reborn has been pretty good though. Whatever manga I read, there's always a point when a series drags or slows down, or maybe it's just me. IMO when you deliver a story week by week or even monthly without any outline or direction of where your story is going to go, or finish, the author sometimes fail to see the whole picture and start to drag their story - esp since it's been running for 10+ yrs
c'mon man....you can let a couple bad chapters stop you im sure kishimoto is building up to something big you gotta have faith in him. i do agree that the flashback sucked.

There was nothing interesting in the new One Piece or Naruto chapters this week. It was a let down reading these chapters. I thought it was going to be interesting but sadly it wasn't. The Fishman island chapters was pretty much following the same formula Oda uses...go to a new island, meet new people, trouble begins to start, learn something about the island history so I was expecting flash back about its past. The naruto war chapters starts to drag the further you go and its fustrating

You should wait about 3-4 weeks before doing a manga review. I kinda understand your frustration with having to review only a small portion of a big story every week. You shouldn't force yourself to do these reviews if you don't like them.
As far as flashbacks are concerned/involved, One Piece suited me just fine. On the other hand, Naruto was just reiterating the same DAMN fact we've known all along. (It was like a manga version of that filler episode that aired after Naruto defeated Pein.) WE GET IT ALREADY!! The two main characters didn't see eye-to-eye at first; and that's the whole point of the manga's climax. The only plus in the chapter was seeing Naruto being his gutsy ol' self.
Also Great rant man, It's the same reason I don't do Manga and anime reviews, because nothing interesting is coming out just generic crap that is not worth talking about anymore.

I know a lot of people hated the flashback in Naruto in this chapter and keep saying it didn't explain anything, but it did if you think about it. It explained that the crossed fingers thing was the symbol of harmony and now it adds a new element to Naruto and Sasuke's fight in the valley of kings (I think it was called) and why they made thats symbol of harmony at the end of it. So maybe that hints that Sasukes still cares about his friendship with Naruto deep down or maybe I'm overthinking it

Lol. Who wastes time raging at a monitor about chapter titles? Oda doesn't use chapter titles to make you want to read the chapter. You would've already wanted to read it if you bought the magazine in the first place (he's not writing it so you can read it illegally). Teasers are used for movies that come out several months later, not a chapter that's right in front of you. It's called turning the fucking page. It's not that serious.

You might want to reread one piece there were some translation errors. Also Jinbe was the one that said don't kill anyone not the crew. And you kinda skipped Otohime's speech but all and all the chapter was still really lack luster. Just saying I think you could of handled this review better.

The problem with that though is that eventually Oda will run out of steam, and when that happens, the manga will suffer for it. Now sure, there are many other, much longer, ongoing series, but they aren't done in the same way that One Piece is. Bleach is a perfect example of a good manga gone bad because it's too damn long. I'm not saying the same will happen to One Piece, but I'm not ignoring that fact that it's a possibility either. One Piece deserves to end on a high note.

But I disagree with the otohime part, yes she is a little obnoxious, but I think that comes from desperation. She yearns for equality and I think she is quite noble and for me her death will be sad.

I loved the one piece review, because you spoke the truth. So many people never discredit One Piece because of what Oda has done in the past, yet this latest chapter was terrible.
I too was hoping Oda would develop something really creative with the whole kizaru thing he set up last chapter, and none of that happened. He chose the easy, lazy, crappy way out. I hope the next chapter develops on these ideas or is more creative, because I was very dissapointed this week round.

hey, i enjoy your videos but i think that you are missing a point on the flashbacks. remember that these chapters are released in weekly magazine, which means there are constantly new readers. how can readers new to one piece/naruto understand the chapter without knowing what happened before? yes they can go read the volumes, but only if they interested in what they see in the mag.if they think the chapter is confusing, they may think the whole series is confusing, and not buy the volume:)

Arlong was a punk. The fact that he not only lied about the Fisher Tiger issue, but also the fact he just grew worser than he originally is, is proof of that. While I can agree about Jinbei to a certain extant, at least he and some others didn't follow the "revenge" crap like other characters have. The only good thing about the Naruto chapter was the Kyuubi talking to Naruto, and actually called Naruto on the crap he's doing. Both chapters were a dissappointment, though.

What are his true intentions"- this comment at the end of OP 623 shows us that Kizaru has some intriguing secrets. Im predicting a future flashback to come later. Also when in OP has Oda drew a flashback that hasnt taught us something new? Queen Otohime will be killed as a result of a Tenyruubito incident it looks like. The dramatic death of the queen will be good.

Sorry Larry...I think you are criticizing the belief systems of the characters more than you are criticizing the actual characterization. The entire grievance about "lets not kill anyone" is weak. Besides the big 3, a lot of other manga's stories have been slowing down such as Skip Beat. Hitman Reborn has been pretty good though. Whatever manga I read, there's always a point when a series drags or slows down, or maybe it's just me. IMO when you deliver a story week by week or even monthly without any outline or direction of where your story is going to go, or finish, the author sometimes fail to see the whole picture and start to drag their story - esp since it's been running for 10+ yrs

As much I thought One Piece chapter was weak this week.......I rather still read it over Naruto anytime......
Kishimoto has way way way way too much flashbacks in his manga.......And he needs to stop with the Sasuke love fest.....Everyone I know is sick of Kishomoto trying to force people to like the guy............smh
Never in my life I've read a manga,book, and comic that the author tries to force his/her audience to like a character....
The main character is Naruto not Sasuke.........smh

@2020HellRiser Its no secret Sasuke is Kishimoto's favorite character,Kishimoto,I have no trouble of Sasuke being his favorite character but when you go out of your way to put a character that has nothing to do with a story arc over and over again,you're forcing people to like him.....I wouldnt have a problem with Kishimoto just quit with the Sasuke love fest....

@anatsusha09 even the anime as well has TOOOO much flashbacks, and episode 213 will be HALF fillers with Naruto thinking bout Sasuke, Sasuke is my FAVOURITE character but its SOOO annoying that we see flashbacks of them COUNTLESS of times man, the WHOLE plot is making Naruto SOOO gay for Sasuke, he talks WAYY more about Sasuke than being Hokage.

@ShippudenEnglishDub1 That's the part I dont understand,way in the beginning Naruto was about him being Hokage but now is focus is about bring Sasuke back to the village......I used to looked forward to reading Naruto but now its at the point I wanna quit but cant cuz I dont want to start over.........lol
Dont let me start on the anime because Im sick of the flashbacks,horrible fillers and the slow pacing....Naruto used to be my favorite manga now its not even my top 30.........smh

@anatsusha09 well right now the 5 Kage Summit arc is exactly going at a FAST pace but the lack of fillers action inbetween the fights is killing the intensity in it as we speak, but if it werent for Sasuke I WOULDNT WATCH/READ THE ANIME/MANGA ANYMORE, it just SUCKS without him, Sasuke gets ALL the best fights, makes the plot interesting, has the BEST outfits, has the BEST jutsus and more jutsus, and the everyone talks about him, EVEN MADARA & KABUTO WANT SASUKE FOR THEIR GOALS.

@ShippudenEnglishDub1 But me and you know after the Kage arc there will be fillers....its been that way since last year...I dont understand why the studio keep having fillers when they're over a year behind of the manga...I would understand if they was a couple of months behind but to have a year 'sworth of material why have fillers.

Mangastream have always release the big 3 on Wednesday,the only time they release it on Thursday sometimes Friday is when a chapter is being release late......
As for Arlong, I wouldnt be surprised if their is another flashback about him and Kizaru in the future....
And what you expect from Kishimoto,I thought their was no way Kishimoto would mess up this war but I was totally wrong......Kishimoto will always find a way to put Sasuke in chapter that has nothing do with him.....smh

There was nothing interesting in the new One Piece or Naruto chapters this week. It was a let down reading these chapters. I thought it was going to be interesting but sadly it wasn't. The Fishman island chapters was pretty much following the same formula Oda uses...go to a new island, meet new people, trouble begins to start, learn something about the island history so I was expecting flash back about its past. The naruto war chapters starts to drag the further you go and its fustrating

Don't worry man. I'm sure next week's chapters will be better. Cuz as fans of such series, we should keep in mind that writers such as Kishimoto still have handfulls of tricks up their sleeves. I can understand your severe disappointment, but look at this way, we'll get future chapters that are far better.

Lady hemiko died she was murdered by the neonatal fox she a plethora of the game Okami our play the beginning of it's sequel okamiden. But good points dude. There should be some kind of punishment maybe not death but they should be maybe at least get maybe get beaten up at least.

You should wait about 3-4 weeks before doing a manga review. I kinda understand your frustration with having to review only a small portion of a big story every week. You shouldn't force yourself to do these reviews if you don't like them.

As far as flashbacks are concerned/involved, One Piece suited me just fine. On the other hand, Naruto was just reiterating the same DAMN fact we've known all along. (It was like a manga version of that filler episode that aired after Naruto defeated Pein.) WE GET IT ALREADY!! The two main characters didn't see eye-to-eye at first; and that's the whole point of the manga's climax. The only plus in the chapter was seeing Naruto being his gutsy ol' self.
