  • cold

  • do they just eat it whole?

  • No. They slightly liquify it with their venom, and chew what's not juicy. It gets a bit gory, but you get used to it ;)

  • The calcium in mice can cause malformations in the exoskeleton, often times resulting in death in T's who are fed a strict rodent diet.

  • I'm well aware. Mice are a once a month (or longer) treat. Usually right after she's hardened from a molt.

  • You own a very beutiful spider

I want one just like that

  • wow that was a difficult catch.

at least give him a challenge

  • She gets a challenge the other three weeks out of the month when she's fed roaches. I feed young mice so she's not bitten and hurt by her food.

  • This looks somewhat different from other T. blondis I've seen. Is it a male?

  • No. She's a female. Just a VERY well cared for captive bred one.

  • man tie a blade to the mouses tail and make it a fair fight

  • Zomg goliath tarantula are the largest ever seen yet but different colors is a little freaky like red and yellow

  • omg i want it is it expensive if it is i want it

    poor mouce

  • THAT THING IS BEAST!

  • :( it was a baby mouse..oh well..food chain..

U should actually let the spider "hunt" the mouse. its better for it then just ..feeding it like that..That's how I feel.

Im sad that the baby mouse got killed but I understand that it was for food. So It was used in a good way. I still feel bad cuz im an animal luver..but I had a spider too. I had to do the same shit.

  • Beautiful Spider m8

  • thats a very nice spider !!!!

  • where can u buy this kinda spider?

  • From breeders. Do a google search for Kelly Swift or Southern Spider Works. Those are two I personally recommend.

  • =o

    Your spider is gorgeouss. =]

  • Actually, what size mouse is that? That doesn't look very much older than a pinky.

  • That was a larger fuzzy (eyes almost open).

  • lol. Tapped out. XD

  • She passed away about a year ago.

  • My freind cried when his died, it was only like three years old too

  • the mouse taped out

  • Look, the mouse was waving goodbye. lol

  • HAHA.

    ATHEIST

    -aka-

    Chuy.

  • Omg she/he is so gorgeous......

    Name?

  • Her name was Gion (GEE-on).

  • you call that gorgeous?? =O im scared of them if i'm within 30 feet. =S

  • Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

  • tis true tis true

  • that thing was waiting for it, musta been hungry

  • My back is tingling. I loove it. Has it a name?

  • rofl, MINE! *swipe*

  • I was thinking the same thing :)

  • yea that wass pretty yommey:P maybe im gonna buy me a so big tarantula after mine white knee die:P

  • All you need to do is to throw mickey mouse in there thatle be awsome...fkin imaginary rodent.

  • you have a nice blondi.

it wont be long before you can feed it adult mice.

  • It's a baby mouse. I think about two weeks old.

  • that is so hard to watch

  • How? It's not that hard to watch. Unless you happen to be a rodent lover/faint of heart.

  • thats the koolest thing i've seen this week....awesome pet!

  • I like these spiders most on the 4th of july.

  • we have an australian bird eating spider he has stopped eating his crickets what should we do.help would be much appreciated ty.

  • At long as the abdomen isn't shrinking, and it's drinking, I wouldn't worry. Lots of spiders stop eating before a molt, and for a brief period afterward. You should be fine. :)

  • Very true. It's the same with snakes too, people seeing this for the first time might think something was weong but shouldnt be worried

  • listen to the micey squeal!!!!!! lol

  • yeh, i agree with heatseeker, a slight injury like that can be fatal, most of the time we feed her crickets, locusts, or frozen mice, we hardly ever give her stuff that could attack back.

  • hey my goliath ate her first dead fuzzy a few weeks ago, i just left it in there by her burrow entrance and it was gone an hour later, all what was left of it by the end of the day was a ball of skin and fur! a mouse is a good treat for a spider but dont feed em mice too often as too much nutrition causes molting problems

  • Some spiders will eat a frozen mouse, but most of the time it will want live. Just depends how fussy they are.

  • nice one, i can now understand why u need live mice for a spider coz thye only accept live unlike my corn snake who happily takes dead mice but dont use an adult mouse coz they can bite. in the uk where i live we have to use thawed mice and i tried it and she reacts in defence,so now im giving her all sorts of different live insects to try out to keep her healthy. check out my videos of my beauty of a goliath

  • Can tarantulas w/a 4 inch legspan eat something elatively dangerous like a Japanese Beetle? Argiope spiders take these by wrapping them in tons of silk, like it won't stop.

  • personally i wud never feed anything dangerous to a spider, a spiders blood does not clot so any wounds will result in the tarantula bleeding to death-but i hear superglue can patch a wound up, better still dont feed the spider anything with sharp teeth claws or mandibles in my opinion unless its pre killed and poses no threat

  • Sperglue works. Over-the-counter suprglue is very similar in result to that of human or veterinary surgical glue. I used Krazy Glue™ and she healed. She walked with that one leg being a bit stiff until she moulted and got rid of that small knob of old glue.
