he did since the first movie and zac just faked it. but in the second and third HSM and Hairspray he did his own singing. You should listen to him "singing" in the first one and compare it to him singing in the other movies and you can hear the difference.

Yeah, it does sound a little different. But did you notice that not only did Zac's voice change, but so did Vanessa's. Their voices became stronger. And also, Vanessa and Zac changed a lot between HSM and HSM2 & 3. I bet that in HSM, Zac's voice sounded different because he was about five years younger then.
