This is proper way to promote you videos! there is no "magical" way to get views... produce things that people enjoy, if you like it, show it, change little things if people dont like them. If you are good at doc's... do that, I'm better at drama's. so I make more drama's! :) Vlogs of course, are great! :)

Great advice, I also suggest doing some kind of design promotion on various sites (though this may have covered). I've done some promotions for our upcoming batman fan film on DA, we now have over 50 people anticipating it.

@sarahlacroixmusic Actually, adding people to your friends list is a great idea. Because, they see when you add, favorite and like a video. And, even if they are not subscribed to your channel. They can see your video, which is more hits and then maybe some time in the future, they'll subscribe.

I had a few blogs mention me. It is pretty awesome. Also for musicians, reviews and even mentions can be put into your press kit.

It's probably good to start small though until you generate a bit more buzz. Blogs that get millions of views a day probably won't be writing about an unknown person anytime soon. However, small blogs just might, and the more press you get, the more you get.

Also, note that when you click on the type of links you use within your videos it clicks away from the video you are watching so then you have to start over!. That makes it very inconvenient to click on the links while you watch the show.
