I was raving AS this tune came out. It was fucking HUGE. I remember the first time I heard it - it was an unprecedented era. In one year we had this, Bodyrock, Casino Royale, Cybotron LP, Planet Dust ... just bare tunes. And what happened after that? People like Clipz etc made clownstep.

Anyways, back to this tune. It was fucking unbelievable. And everyone would run to the dance floor when it came on. Fucking orgasmic. And great on E.

Fair play though, it is a proper good tune. I would say 2001 was the year that d+b fell into a horrifically stale period of around 5 years. It never returned to the quality of 1998/99 but it was better than 01-06.

That's a really heavy topic to discuss with 500 character limit here. Some musicians choose music as a way of life, meaning they expect to earn their daily food from it. Playing for fun is another thing, and having resources to be the one paying to get on stage and get recorded. There's a lot more to music, publishing and musicians than meets the eye. I know a lot of great "play for free" musicians but they still have to get their money from somewhere, and that's selling records.

Far away from my personal taste (I prefer so much Ed Rush & Optical version), this track set up the best season of jump-up for dnb at 2k1, getting a bit out of the liquid ascension on that year. The sample work made by J Majik was quite awesome, energetic, what is more exposed in the Space Invader (2k7 version w/ Wickaman). Great tune indeed.

interesting to hear people say that this doesn't build, that's the genius of it for me. this is the kind of tune that as a DJ i used to love, it was like the glue that held the killer tunes together!

i don't mean that disrespectfully, J-Majik is as good as there is but sometimes a bit of subtlety in the mix should not be underestimated - this tune comes alive sandwiched between two heavier tracks and the skill of the DJ to mix and blend it to blow your fucking mind!!
