Y buy the new Touch when you had the old one... sorta pointless as they are almost exactally the same appart from the 1G can be Jailbroken, the 2G is like 1mm thicker, dosent have a external speaker (the external Speaker on the 2G is sorta pointless as i NEVER use it) the 2g can not be jailbroken atm (which is a shame) the only real improvement is that the 2g is slightly better when it comes to hardware but its not realry noticsable.

I think that the iPod Nano Chromatic is much better if you prefer a small pocketable iPod on the go but if you want some technological gizmo touch screen device that can play music, view pictures and surf the web using wifi then get the touch. P.S. according to my peers that the iPod Touch is easily broken especially the screen.
