i remember watching YM in 1985 or '86 in a small club in New Jersey. they played with billy sheehans band, Talas. the place was so small you could stand against the back wall and still see Yng's fingers. we walked out of that place in disbelief....that's how freakin good it was.

Not at all. The keyboardist is Jens Johansson, he's practically a legend, not only does he keep up with yngwie, but he does it effortlessly. Probably one of the fastest metal keyboard soloists alive, with the cleanest technique and improvisational skill. He invented the solo patch that Janne from children of bodom and other metal keyboardists use.

Great song and great concert, but I have a feeling that this was not 100% live. Check out the following moments:

2:46 - Yngwie's right hand is in the air while I clearly hear his right hand playing

3:20 - the scream ended but the singer's mouth is still wide open

3:30 - Yngwie strummed his guitar but there's no tone and all that time there is guitar sound sustaining in the background. Does anybody know what was going on. I really like this concert but it's full of suspicious moments.

First point: Simple technique, called legato.

Second point: you can have your mouth wide open and still not make any sound.

That "guitar sound" was the keyboards, and Yng's guitar feeding back.

This was 100% live. The rest of the video before, Yngwie's arpeggios are done a little differently than the recording, and every note is in time. I think you're just being really anal about it.

It may have been recorded over 2 nights and they used the best audio version with the best video shots from both nights (quite common in live video, check out moscow peace festival etc).

In any event it certainly sounds live, it's too rough to be studio, and the usual tell tale sign for using tapes is the drummer wearing headphones for the click track - not the case in this concert.
