  • Elton John - Song For Guy. A top song of the 70's. Absolute wonderful!

  • Jonas

So the clock for the workshop has its own time settings Ha Ha.

  • What IC is on the clock board ?

If the clock really doesn't work, you could place a nice little rds-decoder like

the mictronics-project instead of it :-)

  • That is a very strange clock! I think it is trying to show other things than just the time, such as the date, alarm setting, sleep timer, etc. -- quite confusing to figure out if you don't have the manual.

  • In the 1970s you could purchase beds with clock radios embedded on the tall side of the box! The available matress sizes extended up to king size!

  • I have actually seen a few of those, I haven't seen one like that in years, do you know if any of them are still available today? Are any available in single bed size?

  • I am unsure. They could be no longer sold, and they fell out of the fashion in this decade. However, the parents of my father still sleep in one!

  • Look at the size of that capacitor behind the clock, it's big, but then that was the case back then, they needed to be big, of course everything is a lot smaller now. I believe quite a lot of General Electric clock radios were made in Singapore.

  • It appears to alternate between date and time.

  • @pcwalker

    Yes, I think that's what it's doing.

  • Nice find. Btw have you still got your downsized radio receiver in your workshop as a signal source? Thanks.

  • @MagnusVideos

No, I threw the tuner away. Not enough space, still.

  • you maybe could find a manuel for that clock radio on the internet
