  • Nice video! by the way my mother followed this top weight loss program named: Impact 790 Diet and decreased 7 kgs within a month. I can't remember the exact site just Google it.

  • Alright there! Have you considered - fast abs magic (should be on google have a look)? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my cooworker got ripped 6 pack abs and lost a truck load of of belly fat with it.

  • I'm 15 years old and I joined my highschool football team. I'm really, really weak. I can only lift with 15 lbs. What can I do to strengthen my biceps?

  • @cal352 Like he says in the video, really focus on the mind to muscle connection.Do what he does in the video (also with smaller weights) and focus on firing off all the fibers in your muscle. Contract the muscle hard when you lift, even with light weights just act like it's heavy, contract hard, focus, and don't strain yourself. Mix it up everyday.

  • marcus davis got huge!

  • Mike Mason

  • I thought it was 1 sec lifting 3 sec lowering

  • good advice

  • you r cute next time talk with no shirt

  • I can vouch for this, it's true, It makes sense.

  • You can NOT gain 10 pounds of muscle in 2 weeks!

  • @vrwhitlockable lol, you are happy if get a pound per a week

  • The keyword is tension. So yeah he is right ;-) good vid

  • What he's saying is absolutely and scientifically correct. Here's why. The lowering of the weight or the eccentric phase commonly called negatives is responsible for most of the muscle growth leading to the most hypertrophy BECAUSE during the eccentric phase when the sacromeres at their ends of muscle fibers stretch and thus are subject to micro tearing, causing stress which contributes to the stimulus that causes muscles to get bigger and stronger.

  • @willieofroanoke Its not as simple as that, you science geeks cant claim you know more than people that actually do it, especially when you dont. There are so many different factors like muscle confusion, going to failure, different workouts, changing it up, etc. Studying books doesnt make you know more than someone with actual experience.

  • Its true lifting and lowering slower will help you build more muscle, its proven

  • Cena cena cena he looks like Cena Lol

  • Wait

I thought there were only 2 Wahlbergs, is there 3?

  • if Lifting Weights Does Not Help You Build Muscle then wtf are you doing on the video???

  • Remember you only have a certain amount of ATP in the muscle. So lifting weights slowly is not really a good idea since you will run out of ATP or energy before the muscle is actually fully worked.

  • Harmnab, just do something like lights weights to get a burn as a warm up and do some push ups to tag along before that so that you can get a pump out of it, also a warm up. Then do your regular lift as your normal set routine. Then do the light weights again after that, it may seem a bit heavier because of the tire of the muscle and the fibers, yet it will create a burn, letting you know That it is working for your body. :)

  • very true

  • good and nice

  • I already have enough muscle mass and I'm trying to get rid of some fat. I'm eating healthy an all I just need to know what is the best way for me to get lean. Like when I'm lifting weights do I do more reps ?? or do I have to do more cardio ?. Please comment back I can use a few tips !!

  • You really look like John Cena from the WWE.

  • BR0SCIENCE 101

  • Good expert. Legit.

  • JOHN CENA O_O?

  • i agree with most stuff, its not how much you lift, its how you lift (technique) and how hard you lift (intensity). the 3:1:3, makes some sense except that i thought it would be more beneficial to explode out of the lift then work the negative. Thats what i do at least, and sets burn like a mf. Plus healthy diet is just as important.

  • is it just me or does this guy look like john cena?

  • I've been listening to Mr. Steen's advice for a while now & the man know's what he's talking about. There are a lot of myth's out there...He could pass for John Cena's stunt double though.

  • Matt Damon got buff damn.

  • i started lifting 4 months ago weighing in at 275 and lost 65 pounds i did slow high reps and lost 65 pounds, i'm 210 with 8% bodyfat 6'3. i'm a big guy, but lifting weights does burn fat. if i were to just run when i was 275... i would probley be 200 pounds right now or 190... all i know is i did bulk up + lose weight while i lifted.

  • This guy ABSOLUTELY knows what he is talking about...... I don't even understand

    why he is being debated.

  • is it true that lifting weights stomp ur growth?ue no longer be growing taller?someone please?

  • Hey is there a way u can gain muscle mass without eating more? because i hate trying to force myself to eat more and plus i hardly have time to get set a special diet.

  • This works but he is wrong about lifting. It can build and burn fat but it is all about technique and form. If you are doing it wrong you will not be getting optimal gains.

  • how does lifting weights not build muscle but your lifting a heavy weight.azz wipe

  • another idiot who doesnt know anything about weightlifitng for power. fitness yes

  • Last time I checked led weighs more than feathers

  • @xsporian so a pound of lead weighs more than a pound of feathers? you're confusing weight with density....

  • nice pedantry

  • awesome video man (but your arms are terrifying me)

  • idiot...you cant lift weights without lowering them in the first place..quit tryin to sound smart and deep, cuz you failed.

  • @frylock1991 Your right, but his point is to focus and slow down while lowering. Most people (myself included) when they start out lifting, basically throw the weights down when they lower them. I am not a massive weight lifter but I do my push ups like this (slow rise-pause-slow lower) and it really is better.

  • this is a great video.

he is a very good speaker as well

  • I like to lift weights and leave them there instead of lifting and lowering.

  • this dude looks like a house of bricks!!!

  • @DiscoRByrno

"muscle weight more then fat", really ?

  • @x9anarchy it's true. Muscle DOES weight more then fat.

  • @XxEthernalHeadshotxX Respectfully speaking, this statement is commonly mis-communicated. 5lbs of muscle equals 5lbs of fat. However, muscle is DENSER than fat; it takes up less space. Cheers!

  • @x9anarchy That's actually a proven fact. Also, fat floats and muscle sinks which re-enforces that fact.

  • Don't listen to these idiotic haters. These are people who believe that muscle can only be built through use of steroids. They criticise him without having any videos of their own to prove that they are in better shape than he is. This guy clearly knows what he is talking about, judging by how his body looks. And given how health-concious he is, he would NEVER use steroids.

  • @Controvox you need low reps and heavy weight to lift. and going slow like this doesnt develop mroe str like these people think. look at animals like liomns and dogs and so on they use violent fast bursts of power to achieve great hunting goals and attacks because it wrks better. people ask me alot if im on roids or supplments or what protiens i take and i tell them its just my explosivness and will power.

  • @Controvox How fit he is has absolutely *nothing* to do with whether or not he knows what he's talking about. Knowledge and expertise is indicated by a diploma or degree, and even then you should be skeptical of the information you recieve.

  • @JasonJarred

Not true. The most knowledgeable people I know on building muscle and fitnes have no official credentials.

This is often the case with the best of the best, Jack la Lanne is a good example. A fitness legend, but he wasn't even a certified personal trainer. In fact he was a chiropractor. Even Bill Gates was a college dropout. Experience is the best degree, that goes for all walks of life.

Not everyone was born with parents just waiting to put them through college

  • He might know nothing about training, but have a really good personal trainer or exercise physio who has helped him get into shape, and be setting himself up as a Youtube expert. I'm not saying I believe that is the case (as he does in fact have a lot of good points which I agree with), I just think you should be more skeptical for the reasons *why* you choose to believe something - and those reasons should not be about physical appearances.

  • i weight 145 ls. today i took 80 lbs on a bench bar and walked up and down my street with it. hurt like hell....do you think that did any good?

  • @RENDUI XD XD XD

  • @mmaludilo

u do know that steriods alone does not give u the muscles he has(if he ever used them) and steroids is not a bad thing to use especially if ur into weight lifting and know how to administrate it.

  • @mmaludilo lol you go that right.
