A fucked up hairstyle changes your whole mood! I had a bomb ass hairstylist and she was cheap as hell. I'm talking about $45 for some medium-sized individuals and all her weaves was $65! Please tell me why her ass disappeared?! I went by her apartment and asked a couple of her old clients. They said they think she hiding from the cops, so I let it go. LMAO!

I went today they say we open at 9 they dont open til 9:20 then they had to settle in and of course eat breakfast so im just waiting!!! then she starts for like 5 mins then she is like let me take my kid to daycare :O so she hops in the car and goes so 15 minutes later here she come back. WTF ?? last time im going and she didnt even do a good job i got it cut from someone else and she was like this is a horrible job ... bad day !!
That's a real sister! Because my sister would have not only went in there, RIGHT THEN, she would have took her keys and let me sit in the car waiting on her for the whole 8 hours! LOL, but serious!
The stylist was dumb and petty...not only did she lose YOU as a client...she fucked up her money and possibly free publicity/advertisements if you felt like it in the future...see...thats why I say...business is business...leave the bullshit out the door. :)
Im in Riverdale..and yea them Dominicans get you right!! I suggest you go to one of them..its a shop on Highway 85..they did my friend hair..and she looked like a whole nother person..

Not familiar w/ "Girl World" issues but if your Stylist was good and never let you down, I wouldn't sacrifice her. Candy, my advice would be to reconsider your decision. Now, if your sister & your stylist would have come to blows then yes, give her up but until such time. Let that drama be theirs, unless a reason is given for you to jump in that mess.

Dominicans do great work on a whole. However, their thing is wash, set, and blow dry. They will set a weave you already have but they don't install (at least not in my area). Good luck with it and I personally love my Dominicans.

I just want to say there are many hairdressers out there that do not respect their client's time...especially those that work with the ethnic- texture hair. There is no excuse for triple booking their clients and having them all in there at the same time an sit in there all day. It is unprofessional and SO Old school. They have clients used to it and believing they have to be in there all day while they juggle people....plus they charge a premium for this service! I can't believe it!
Girl is serious about the hair! You made some excellent points. I know there are two Paul Mitchell schools in Atlanta. They accept clients and although they are not fast, if you ask for the Phase II students they are usually good and for a lot less money. It is always easy to go and ask the students who the "Queen of What-You-Want" is. They will steer you in the right direction.

WELL ... I guess you really can't go back to your old stylist, but, you can go to The Purple Door. Check out Lawrence from RHOA because Sheree's hair is ALWAYS on point. The Dominicans are ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS, but I have never known for them to do weaves, and they seldom do relaxers, but if you let them do your hair, it will be down to your feet in six months. I have to go all the way back to N.Y. to get a Dominican Blow-out. Get one, you'll never go anywhere else. I guarantee.
When I get my hair done, I feel like I'm serving a damn jail sentence! But myself personally, I think that $75 is a bit high, but that's because I'm not into all this styling & profiling when it comes to my hair. Just straighten it & leave me alone!

The Dominican ladies will get you in and out (as long as it isn't Saturday) and the prices are right, but it's an every now and again event to get you through. Going long term will break your hair off from the heat....at least that was my experience...ended up cutting all my hair and starting over, took a year to grow it back out.
Most people are saying that you should go back to her BUT I think she crossed the line. Blood is Blood and I have stopped liking friends and cut people off because they have disrespected my family. Black people always think they can talk to folks family any kind of way and then be cool with you just cause they have known you forever. I just want to say there are many hairdressers out there that do not respect their client's time...especially those that work with the ethnic- texture hair. There is no excuse for triple booking their clients and having them all in there at the same time an sit in there all day. It is unprofessional and SO Old school. They have clients used to it and believing they have to be in there all day while they juggle people....plus they charge a premium for this service! I can't believe it!

Girl is serious about the hair! You made some excellent points. I know there are two Paul Mitchell schools in Atlanta. They accept clients and although they are not fast, if you ask for the Phase II students they are usually good and for a lot less money. It is always easy to go and ask the students who the "Queen of What-You-Want" is. They will steer you in the right direction.

WELL ... I guess you really can't go back to your old stylist, but, you can go to The Purple Door. Check out Lawrence from RHOA because Sheree's hair is ALWAYS on point. The Dominicans are ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS, but I have never known for them to do weaves, and they seldom do relaxers, but if you let them do your hair, it will be down to your feet in six months. I have to go all the way back to N.Y. to get a Dominican Blow-out. Get one, you'll never go anywhere else. I guarantee.

The Dominican ladies will get you in and out (as long as it isn't Saturday) and the prices are right, but it's an every now and again event to get you through. Going long term will break your hair off from the heat....at least that was my experience...ended up cutting all my hair and starting over, took a year to grow it back out.

I find it crazy that you had to go to so many hair salons because I thought Atlanta was like the hair capital of black hair!
