Hey Ateeyaa i just got my aphogee products the other day and i did the 2 step protein treatment.. before the treatment everytime i comb my hair would break off in my comb but after i used the 2 step treatment i noticed that i had no more breakage... i cant wait to relax my hair next week... i already love aphogee products. thank ya much lol
did this after a 6 month stretch and I'm not impressed.It was super hard to do with all that new growth and I don't think I distributed it right because of that.I wouldn't say my hair is any stronger than before but whose to say.I still had breakage afterwards.i DO NOT recommend doing this with lots of new growth.This is not a bad product though.

@jmcclinton27 If u use too much of it, it will cause breakage because Aphogee is a PROTEIN product. 4 this 2 step protein treatment, use every 4-6 weeks. Personally, I use it 1 week before I put my perm which is every 3-4 months. The shampoo can be used weekly, the keratin 2min reconstructor should be applied afterwards. For me I saw a change in my hair in a little as 2 months so just cut back. You should look for more mild products when your hair is healthy again. U wnt need Aphogee as much.
@jmcclinton27 Oh, and aphogee does have a user guide on their website. Follow it and adjust to your own needs. Just remember the more protein you use, the more MOISTURE you will need. so deep conditioning weekly and moisturizing and sealing with oil nightly is a must. You get the hang of it after awhile.

Ms. Ateyaa...you said you have medium to coarse hair. Do those products you use make your hair feel heavy or thick? I just wanted to say that the protein treatment SAVED my hair. I'm a white girl, I bleached my hair and then it started falling out! After washing my hair, I did the protein treatment and afterward, my hair felt amazng and actually squeaked! I followed it with cholesterol and my hair feels GREAT now! @GRobi244 Just a tip from my own experience, your hair may need a lot more moisture than most. The 2 step has so much protein that it can make your hair very hard and then brittle. Try a good hot oil treatment or very rich moisture treatment the next week after the 2 step.

the 2 minute is a light/med protein so it's more for maintenance. the 2 step is hardcore and should be used sparingly. and exactly as the directions state.
@hotnov yes, definitely wait! i waited about 1.5 to 2 weeks, but one week should be fine. clarify your hair first before you use it! and make sure it is fully detangled!
The silk and satin scarfs come off my head at night too. Have you tried putting on the satin or silk scarf and then putting on the wig cap over the scarf. girl u r my inspiration. i watch your videos all the time. I'm your biggest fan and I'm gonna try the Aphogee products. The thing i cant seem to find the chi infusion anywhere in my country (Jamaica) what can i use as a substitute to the chi infusion.
One thing I don't understand is why you would invest in a Chi iron, and the go and put that cheap curling iron to it. Why not just make the culrs with the flat iron? Thats like going to workout and going to eat a super size Big Mac meal.

I bought this protein treatment back in March of 09 needless to say it's still under the sink. the smell is tolerable but I could do without. I got curious and researched "animal protien" it's mostly pig's blood and pig bi-products. I switched to using eggs, mayo, or my protien based leave-in conditioner from NexFaze. It's a vegetable based protein not animal.
yeah. I've been watching hair videos and trying products for a regimen since March of 09 and I said to myself "Damn why don't you read the ingrieients and see what the hell they are, maybe your hair doesn't like certain stuff!" So I started googling and that's when I found the whole pigs blood and protien treatments. Your better off using raw eggs like a hair mask.

r u suppose to shampoo the treatment out? cuz it doesnt say to shampoo it out on the bottle it just says wash out with warm water. im just curious cuz i did the treatment but i just washed it out i didnt wash it out with shampoo...was i suppose too??? = O

Ms. Ateyaa...you said you have medium to coarse hair. Do those products you use make your hair feel heavy or thick? I have very THICK coarse hair and I have to refrain from using some products because they make my hair feel THICKER than it already is. Oh and BTW...I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS GIRL! I just wanted to say that the protein treatment SAVED my hair. I'm a white girl, I bleached my hair and then it started falling out! After washing my hair, I did the protein treatment and afterward, my hair felt amazng and actually squeaked! I followed it with cholesterol and my hair feels GREAT now! Aphogee is a truly amazing investment.

@GRobi244 Just a tip from my own experience, your hair may need a lot more moisture than most. The 2 step has so much protein that it can make your hair very hard and then brittle. Try a good hot oil treatment or very rich moisture treatment the next week after the 2 step.

I have always been afraid of heavy protein applications but you make it look so simple and doable. Can you do 2 step aphogee the same day as a relaxer (after the relaxer) or do you do it the week before and after a relaxer?

NO. no, no, no.
the 2 minute is a light/med protein so it's more for maintenance. the 2 step is hardcore and should be used sparingly. and exactly as the directions state.

@hotnov yes, definitely wait! i waited about 1.5 to 2 weeks, but one week should be fine. clarify your hair first before you use it! and make sure it is fully detangled!

The silk and satin scarfs come off my head at night too. Have you tried putting on the satin or silk scarf and then putting on the wig cap over the scarf. I do that and the scarf stay on my head all night. Love your hair and the videos. Thanks for taking the time out and showing us how to use different products and how to take better care of our hair.

One thing I don't understand is why you would invest in a Chi iron, and the go and put that cheap curling iron to it. Why not just make the culrs with the flat iron? Thats like going to workout and going to eat a super size Big Mac meal.

wow i have never seen any one wrap there hair so fast and it still can out fly... it takes me at least 15 minutes to wrap it and i do not have half the hair you do.. (well i have none now but when i was permed) good job love the tutorial

I bought this protein treatment back in March of 09 needless to say it's still under the sink. the smell is tolerable but I could do without. I got curious and researched "animal protien" it's mostly pig's blood and pig bi-products. I switched to using eggs, mayo, or my protien based leave-in conditioner from NexFaze. It's a vegetable based protein not animal.

yeah. I've been watching hair videos and trying products for a regimen since March of 09 and I said to myself "Damn why don't you read the ingrieients and see what the hell they are, maybe your hair doesn't like certain stuff!" So I started googling and that's when I found the whole pigs blood and protien treatments. Your better off using raw eggs like a hair mask.
