Only the GOOD die young. "Uncle" Walt Disney, Jim "Kermit & Cantus" Henson, Jerry Juhl (the "Carl Starling" of The Muppets, since it was his writing genius that not only created The Muppets' humor but also lead to the catchy themes of each production), "Mister" Fred Rogers, Carl Starling, "The Great" Richard Stone, "The Cheif" Lynne Thigpen, et al...
Either that or they disappear forever following their fall from grace (i.e. after they create something disasterously bad).
WHY DIDN'T YOU LET MY GENERATION SEE THIS BEAUTY?? WHY?!?!?!? MOST SHOWS ON NOW ARE TEN TIMES MORE VIOLENT AND GORY! (9 letters: S P O N G E B O B) WHY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Because times changed, even if people didn't. Executives no longer want witty programming for all ages. They want to tailor everything to specific demographics to earn more money.
I believe that's part of the reason "Animaniacs" ended in the first place. The people at WB noticed how more and more adults were watching the show when it was intended for kids
King Yakko, you emailed me saying you'd done the instrumental version for Wakko's America. I responded but haven't heard from you. Did you do it? Would you post it?
Let's face it. After Richard Stone died, there has been a somewhat decline in cartoon music memorability. Oh sure kids can remember Spongebob's little theme song today, but where's the culture in it? The old 90's WB cartoons had music that could easily be mistaken for something out of classic Looney Tunes.
Well, Disney, Henson, & even PBS had their share of classic themes to compete with those of Warner and Nick too. Seriously, if you lined up the greatest themes from our 80's/90's generation in a row, you'd get from Disney stuff like Ducktales and Gummi Bears, from Henson the themes to Muppet Babies and Fraggle Rock (among others), from PBS both Carmen Sandiego themes and--with Henson's crew--Sesame Street, from Warner the Golden & Silver age cartoons, and from Nick, the themes for its Nicktoons.
@Pooleman96 you are so right! my dad heard me watching Animaniacs and actually thought it was Looney Tunes! He seemed a little disappointed when it wasn't lol.

PLEASE HELP!
I've searched for an instrumental version of WAKKO'S AMERICA with no luck.
I've also tried numerous ways to make my own with no luck.
PLEASE someone post an instrumental version of Wakko's America ASAP.
My daughter needs it to sing with for her school talent show.

The tune is actually called "Turkey in the Straw." So try searching under that. Here's one...
