Humourous Russian MIG pilot gently takes a woman up-and presumably hearing her 'talk back' ;he playfully increased the pitch rolls and yaws to give her more 'G'. She held on! Pretty fit!. I guess if I was much more young;or fit; I'd accept a role reversal and have Caroline Jenssen or Catherine Labuscagne-give me a spin! OK!-it's just a reverie! What an experience for this girl! Well done all! Moss Aherne /Ireland/
See how better a woman does with a similar experience-ie in the back seat-on a clip I refer to-supra!. At least she doesn't shake her head in disbelief /wonder...or clap like a trained seal afterwards.
He adjusts his helmet on take-off roll with no hands on the stick knowing it will be ineffective until a certain airspeed. I know there are exceptions . This pilot was very pro.
@russellmarsh do u need a pilot license to controll it, or can u just take it over if u want?? fly with it across the other kill some arabs or something
@skazhiprivet - it was really cool and if you want to try something that you will never forget than thats the one. A company in Moscow sorted it out for me. If you do a search for bestrussiantour you will find their website. I would absolutly recomend them they sorted the whole thing out and looked after me very well.
70,000 feet is nothing compared to the official altitude of space at 350,000 feet.
In order to stay at that altitude you would need a hell of a lot of thrust to catch enough air for lift and engine combustion.
Any higher than 70k and you would require full body pressure suit, it isn't the lack of oxygen that would kill you (presuming your mask is still attached during ejection/canapy failure) but the lack of air pressure which would momentarily boil your blood/liquid and force your mask off.
Wow, 70,000 feet! I did notice that there were no pressure suits worn. Wonder what would have happened (to their bodies) if they experienced a rapid decompression? I would say: BAAAA-BOOOOM!!! And all of their internal body parts would be external body parts.
I did fly the Mig for about 10 mins but I had a Russian test pilot with me. No idea about how long you need to train for this but the pilot I had with me could fly pretty much anything and was an amazing guy. During my flight I blacked out few times because of the G force we were pulling, the pilto with me was steady as a rock!
@assman12354 Life Changing would probably be a bit too grand, but it was pretty much the most amazing thing I have ever done in my life and was very special. It did give me a whole new perspective on how small we all really are and how beautiful and special the place we live really is. It takes a lot of fuel to get that high as the air is so thin so you are using afterburners all the way. We were up there no more than about ten mins.
If accepted on Strizsi team - it takes 3 years of flying in formation to go solo... Few military chaps qualify to begin with, very stressful to maintain formation 1m in between and 3m apart...
Eh man nice vid. I have a couple of questions though. Are you flying in this vid? And how much years do you need to be a military pilot in Russia? And what education you need and how much it costs? I thanks you very much for this vid. I am Russian but can't write good.
The whole flight was about an hour from take off to touch down. About 40 mins of that was flying up and coming down and the rest of the time doing aerobatics. Used about 3000 litres of fuel, reached mac 2 and altitude was about 70k feet (13 miles up).
does the earth look like a globe from that altitude? how long were you "really high" did you want to do the acrobatics? i love doing them but i was woundering if the acrobatic part might take away from the edge of space part?
For quite some time the fighter jet tours in Russia were flown from Zhukovsky AF base (Moscow), however its been more than two years since such operations there were stopped. Our company organized and starting from 2006 has successfully been performing official flights in the MiG-29 and the MiG-31 (analogue of the MiG-25) jet fighters in the city of Nizhny Novgorod (450 km from Moscow) at the facility of Nizhny Novgorod Aviation Plant Sokol. Agency COUNTRY OF TOURISM
the avro arrow (canadian jet) was the first ever to do this 40 years ago. so that makes this pretty much obsolete.

Of course I am, but this guy would be more jealous of those flying the virgin galactic at 350,000 feet who automatically gain astronaut recognition.
70,000 is easily achievable for some fighter jets and the lockheed U2, but 350,000 is almost 5 times that altitude.
EinkOLED 10 months ago
It took me about 4 months to organise but you could do it much faster than that.
If you go to my blog I have posted everything that I did along with the companies I used. If you search for gototheedge.wordpress you will find it.
