We all know Dime isn't coming back,but I have always thought you could do ONE last Pantera tour reunite for the fans and than put Pantera to bed forever,either have Zakk play with them or use special guest guitarist..just a thought,its been 6 years..
@TNSmith37 I reckon they sould let the legacy lay down and grow. People will just become disillusioned with a band touring under the Pantera monicker, but without Dime. His sound WAS Pantera... If VP, Rex, Phil and, say, Zakk Wylde would tour under some other name it would be great though. But let's put Pantera to rest in the Walhalla of Metal!!

@warlockmetal1 ya he might have had his "own" tuning, but if you listen to/play the albums, there tuning progress lower, and I'm sorry to burst your bubble but Walk can be played in Drop D or standard, but dime played it in drop D. As for tunings, Cowboys is mostly standard and drop d, almost all of Vulgar is drop D, and some drop C, Far beyond is Half and Half Drop D and C, and Re-Inventing went as low as B. As for his "signature tuning" it was standard a quarter step down, then drop to w/e

So before you tell me how to play what I know check YOUR fuckin sources. about 4 or 5 out of the ten tracks on vulgar are Drop D. My bad though reading my last post I meant to say Vulgar was Half Standard Half Drop D, there is NO Drop C in Vulgar.

@warlockmetal1 people tune to drop D to get the open D chord, some kids may cheap out yes, but actual musicians want the E dropped to a D for the lower sound, same reason there is drop C, drop b, its so you dont have to hit a D(or c or b) an octave higher when it will sound like crap

@warlockmetal1 ya he might have had his "own" tuning, but if you listen to/play the albums, there tuning progress lower, and I'm sorry to burst your bubble but Walk can be played in Drop D or standard, but dime played it in drop D. As for tunings, Cowboys is mostly standard and drop d, almost all of Vulgar is drop D, and some drop C, Far beyond is Half and Half Drop D and C, and Re-Inventing went as low as B. As for his "signature tuning" it was standard a quarter step down, then drop to w/e

So before you tell me how to play what I know check YOUR fuckin sources. about 4 or 5 out of the ten tracks on vulgar are Drop D. My bad though reading my last post I meant to say Vulgar was Half Standard Half Drop D, there is NO Drop C in Vulgar.
